Travelling in Melbourne, Australia right now and our GPS has quit. She isn't even looking for a sattelite. She says "Route calculation error: no roads near starting point". It has not been working for a couple of days. Big open spaces etc but no go. Anyone have any suggestions. She has been working wonderfully well in all parts of Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
Hi,
Look your best and probably quickest fix would be to contact the maker as they should be able to give you the answer straight away. How old is the GPS also and would it still be under warranty? I had one repaired for my yacht once and was pretty quick and reasonably priced.
Good luck ...what are you travelling in? Meantime you could pick up a UBD from a Post Office they are realatively cheap, cheaper than Melways. LOL

I put in a verbatim, and Sandisk 1gb sd card and load the maps via mapsource on it. Then, when I ask "where to", the gps just shuts itself down. I formated the card without any luck. As soon as I put back the 512mb sd card, the problem is over. What can I do, i have the latest firmware. v 5.10 on the gps Kind regards Jan
