HAVE A MAC G4 THAT I CAN'T INSTALL LEOPARD 10.5.6. HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE OS WITHOUT IT FALLING

Running Leopard on a box that old is not really the optimum thing to do. It's got 64 bit architecture and being a G4 is 32 bit, your box will not take advantage of the speed increase. As a matter of fact, and this is from experience... your machine will slow to a crawl. I wouldn't stick an OS newer than Panther on a box that old. Even Tiger slowed it down to ungodly proportions.

My laptop is moving really slow

If this is something new...and it used to work well with the operation system you have in use..it means that something affected your operation system and causing this..It may be a software or a program ..but more than sure it is a virus...The solution in the last case is to reinstall from scratch the OS using a recovery disk or partition (if you have one ) ..or using a boot-able disk ..with the OS on it ..
If you are forced to use the boot-able disk ..you should store in advance the drivers for the devices on D partition or in another memory device ..so to have them in handy after finishing the installation process.
If you do not have such a disk ...you can download an image with the OS and burn it using Nero ..When you have the disk ..all you have to do is to insert it and restart the computer ...and use the function key written on the start to engage the boot menu ..and from there select to boot from disk (cd /dvd ) Confirm the boot by pressing any key when it asks..and fo0llow the instructions ..At finish ...use the saved drivers for to install them all ..and also download an antivirus and instal it soon after you connected the computer to the internet with success .
let me know if you do not manage and I will try to guide you trough the process step by step .

I have had OS9 applications on my computer for several years (I believe they were installed with the initial installation) and I never used OS9. Just wondering if I can delete these applications without...

Yes you can remove these applications without causing problem in OS X. I think however you'd be happier wiping the hard drive (AFTER backing up any files you need) and installing OS X fresh without the OS 9 feature; not only would you save quite a bit of hard drive space but you'll see the machine run quicker.

Slow to respond somtimes never without removing previous requests

hello

one of several issues can cause slowness in any program or hardware

1) your HardDiskDrive capacity is peaked ( small amount of hard drive space will cause slowness in computer : you need at least 20%-25% (15-20G space to run OS and software) of HDD capacity to run your computer w/o problems

2) you may have a virus , go to www.malwarebytes.org and www.microsoft.com to download MS Security Essentials

3) run Disk defarg and Disk Cleanup

4) reinstall the Epson printer drivers if you have to , www.epson.com

hope this helps

Acer T-180 hangs at "Verifying DMI Data"

The cause of this problems is a corrupt boot files, Settings for hard disk drive are not correct,Floppy diskette or CD in computer causing issue, Boot devices not set properly, BIOS corrupt or misc. hard disk jumper setting not set properly, Connections loose or disconnected, Bad Hard disk drive or other bad hardware.

Note: Try this first. Check the cable setting of your hard disk in the BIOS. try swithching it to IDE, SATA, RAID. save your seetings and restart your computer.

if problem still exist... Follow this steps..

Step 1: If you have a USB stick with capacity of 4Gb and up or another hard disk... try installing a fresh Operating System in the USB stick or in the extra hard disk that you have.. after you install.. boot to bios and set the Primary boot in the extra hard disk or Removable Device (USB) save your settings and restart.. your computer will start normally booting the windows in your newly installed extra hard disk or USB stick. when you are in the Desktop, now try accessing your old hard disk and copy your files.. after you backup your files to the new installed hard disk. go to step 2.

Step 2: Turn off your computer... uninstalled the newly installed hard disk or USB.. after you uninstalled the hardware.. turn on your computer and reinstall your Operating System again. if the problem still exist go to step 3.

Step 3: if the problem stil exist. i think ther is something wrong with your hard disk.. try installing the OS again in second partitioned of your hard disk.. create first partition, then second partition. then installed your OS in second partition... if the problem still exist and you cannot go to windows desktop.. maybe your hard disk drive is damaged...

Hope I Can Help

if u have no CD's (the OS and it;s configurations installed by the asambeler of u;re system, the so called recovery disk) u;'ll have to do a fresh OS install and use the computer as any other computer ! If u want to use it as a media player, considering that is an older system, i recomand a linux OS, becouse they are faster and u;ll need the free procesor power for some video playing...
