Software to download pictures and videos

You don't need any software.
The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Movie Maker, or Picasa.

You don't need any special software.

Hi.
Some notebooks all of a sudden begins not recognize the camera due to drivers problems.
in order not to worry about this problem any more and TO MAKE IT SIMPLE ,WHY DON'T YOU USE "A Memory CARD READER" THAT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR MEMORY CARD..
IT IS ABOUT 5.00-7.00 USD..WITH THAT CARD READER-WRITER YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU NEED LIKE YOU ARE DOING WITH "USB FLASH MEMORY UNITS"..
THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS to PC ..

As an example of this unit pls visit the URL below....you can buy it any electronic Market too...

How to recover pictures which are accidentally formatted in Fuji film finepix JV200

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in camera erased permanently. You can still recover pictures with camera format recovery software, recommended asoftech photo recovery as I used the program before, it's quite easy to use and works well for me
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

I have a Kodak Easy Share (c653) digital camera . I forgot to put my memory card in it when I took some pictures. I have pictures on my card as well. How can I transfer the pictures on the internal memory...

You can view/download the user guide at
http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18741/selected/true

If you have enough room on the memory card, you can copy the pictures from the internal memory onto the card and then download them to your computer all at one time. If you don't have enough room on the card, you can download the pictures on them to your computer, then clear the card by formatting it, and then copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card for downloading.

If you just want to copy pictures between the internal memory and the memory card, here's the appropriate page from the user guide referenced above:

How do I recover pictures from the camera's memory if there are no pictures on the memory card?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this digital camera recover program called asoftech photo recovery from
http://download.cnet.com/Asoftech-Photo-Recovery/3000-12511_4-10913438.html?part=dl-10913438&subj=dl&tag=button
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

I have deleted photos by error will be to recover

It's no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. There are VERY many freeware software options available to help you recover your files. Please see this blog article that reviews several of the better freeware recovery programs that you can download. You may need to use a card reader with these programs though.

All the download links listed in the article are available through CNET. This was to primarily ensure through CNET's verification process that these would be malware free software, and to also give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.
