On the CE-200 Quantum Futura Computerized sewing machine you said something about a Cancel button.

When I went to singer.com to read the .pdf manual, it didn't mention anything about a cancel button, but some 2-digit error messages said to turn the machine on and turn it on again after fixing certain problems.

Are you getting any special messages on the display?

Good luck to you.

    Duane,
Thank you for your response. Sorry I didn't include the message. When I transfer a saved pattern to embroider, it comes up and says "A transmition to machine is still pending. You must first cancel previous transmition"

    Thank you
    Gordon

This sounds like a software issue with the computer.

I understand that you can hook a laptop up to the sewing machine

and transfer patterns to it via a usb cable.

There is also a power/light switch, which turns the unit off and on. I wonder if that would

    reset it.

Also, on the laptop computer side, there probably is a way of canceling the pattern

that is in the 'queue' that may or may not have transferred completely that last time

    a transfer was attempted.

I am assuming that the message about the embroidery pattern you are getting shows

up on the laptop computer's screen, and not on the 2 digit screen on the sewing machine.

    Does this help?

  • gordonganter Jul 09, 2010

Unfortunately it does not. The message does come up on my laptop screen. Several years ago this happened and I was given a fix that worked. But have not used the Embroidery function for about the same time. Hence, I know longer have the fix. there is nothing in the futura software that say cancel after I have tried to transmit and get the message.
    I appreciate your continued efforts

Unfortunately, I do not know what Singer had in mind when they produced a product that did not have documentation as to how to 'reset' the sewing machine in case an incomplete transfer occurred.

If you can't do it from the computer side, then this seems like a user-friendly problem.

I couldn't find anything referring to 'reset' in the .pdf file that I downloaded.

So, your best option may be to contact customer support or tech support of Singer.com to get the specific instructions on how to reset, again.

I wish you luck in your sewing, though.

    7. What is the correct start-up procedure when using the embroidery feature of your futura machine ?

The following steps must be followed for proper start-up protocol. If these steps are not followed precisely, you will get a “Transmission Pending” error message.

Boot up your computer, but do not open the Futura software. Next attach the embroidery unit to your sewing machine and connect the USB cable between your computer and sewing machine

    1. Turn on your sewing machine by setting the Power/Light switch to ( l ). Make sure the needle has been moved to the highest position by turning the Handwheel towards you.
    2. Attach the hoop that you plan to work with to your embroidery unit.
    3. Double click on the Futura Icon on your desktop, to open up the Futura Software.
    4. You are now ready to select and transmit a design to your machine

IMPORTANT: If you have embroidered using the small hoop, and you are now ready to use your large hoop. Turn off your machine, close the Futura software and then turn OFF your computer. Wait one minute, turn on your computer and then follow steps 1 through 4.

The manual should have instructions how to do that:

Be sure to check the instructions on your CD. Otherwise, you may want to contact Singer Support.

When trying to transmit a embroidery design to machine says there already one waiting how do you cancel the old one

Have you already transmitted a design and it has not finished? You can open several windows at one time, so it's possible that there is a pending transmission. If there isn't, I would close the program and then reopen it. That should have cleared out any previous designs that were transmitted in a session.

It says i must cancel previous transmission. How do I do that?

This happens every time I finish a design. First, close the software on your computer. Next, turn off the embroidery machine. Now unplug the USB cable from the machine and then from the back of your computer. Now reverse the progress. This will clear the "buffer" between your computer and the machine. It's a bit of a pain to do each time, but it does work.

How do I delete a previous transmission to my embroidery attachment on my CE100 (Singer Futura)?

try resetting it, take the hoop out, turn the machine off, and then back on, or try detaching the embroidery unit, and then reattach it. I hope this helps :)

I recently bought a Singer Futura CE-200. I was using the embroidery function, but had to stop due to threading problems. When I went back to the computer a few days later my computer was shut down. I...

Wow, I finally get to have a solution.
1. Turn the machine off.
2. Remove the hoop.
3. CAREFULLY slide the bar on the embroidery unit to the left.
4. CAREFULLY slide the piece where the hoop attaches toward you.
5. Turn on the sewing machine. The machine should take the unit to "standby" with a click.
6. Attach the hoop with the power on.
7. Exit the Futura software.
8. Restart the software.
This "should" fix the problem, however, you may have to repeat this process more than once to get it to "stick".

It may be faster and easier to contact your local Singer dealer, or Singer HQ in your country........they will want you to have a good experience with their product, even if it was second hand.....if there is a problem with the machine, they may even suss it over the phone for you.
