Total beginner,no idea where to start

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Im trying to download videos from limewire and its not working

Hi..

When you download a video and play to your unit make sure that you will know what is the file format of the video witch is compatible to your player.
For example your player can play AVI format and your video loaded is FLV of course your player cannot play. So you need to convert the video first before it is loaded to your player.
If you did not know what it the file format of your player. There is a sample video in your player look at what is the extension format.

Good luck!

When I try to play music downloaded from Virgin my Tevion mp3 player comes up Format error. How do I get the music to play?

Format error means that you are not playing the file extension which is supported by your mp3 player ,it should be .mp3 extension.
for eg if your song name is let the music play.it should be as let the music play.mp3
if you are unable to see .mp3 extension
goto my computer>tools>folder option >view tab > uncheck "hide extension for know file types".
if you have any problem .just reply with a comment so that i can help you further

Good luck

thanks for using fixya

You need to convert the .avi files to the MPEG format with software. Just renaming the file will not work.
