a technician would adjust the voltages to get -- NO MORE RED DOTS.

play with all the voltages for while to get the right mix,

but u will ended changing the Va, Vb and Vsc to fix the problem.

the voltage level that will be the worst offender is the Vsc.

According to the technician, the voltages recommended by the factory are listed inside the back panel of the TV, but you can adjust each of these 5-10% up or down without any issues.

Though someone could probably do this themselves with a little bit of knowledge and a voltage meter, I wouldn't recommend it.

so your option to try for a tech or do it yourself..

I hope this helps someone! :)

voltage adjustment is the only solution for your problem.

    not a big problem.

dont worry. u can solve it pretty easier.

    thank you

Sounds like you need to replace your lamp. The lamp number for this panasonic TV is TY-LA1001. Lamps run anywhere from $120-$250.

Samsung plasma TV, half screen is blacked out

Well, as per my last posting, I thought I would share. The problem of the bottom half of my 42 inch Samsung Plasma blacked out - meant a trip to the local TV repair shop. I have to say, they were great. I took it in and they were able to fix it after replacing a part - had my TV back in about a week. Cost was approx. $300. This was well worth it, considering how much I had paid for this TV only a few years ago. I had the repair done last month and so far, it's been great. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of the part.

Went away for a week plasma turned off at mains came back turned tv on it normally gives 3 clicks then comes on but it only gives 2 clicks, power is going to the tv as it gets hot you can see it light up...

the problem is going to be internal and i would recommend a repair serivce.

Potential causes for the problem are:
  • Turning the main power on while the tv is plugged into the outlet.
  • A power surge or dip
  • The tv being bumped or dropped
  • the tv being exposed to warm or cold temperatures.

Easy one - image shrinking when TV gets WARM

resolder the vertical IC's leads. you may also have a failing capacitor in the vertical deflection circuit test them one at a time with freeze spray. or use the ex's cold icey breath.
