Question about Belkin Basic Wireless Router
My router will work for about a day then it shuts off..It get hot, what's wrong with it?
If it is getting hot, just make sure that it is placed in a well ventilated area. A router should not get very hot due to its operation.
1) Open the router page by typing 192.168.2.1 in the address bar of internet explorer.
2) On the bottom-left corner, click on self-healing and disable this feature
3) On the far-left, click on "Channel & SSID" under "Wireless" > Turn OFF the QoS feature on this page.
Observe the connection and make sure that the connection shouldn't drop due to heating up of router.
I would strongly recommend that the router and modem is switched OFF when not in use.
If you still seem to have the problem, contact 1-800-2235546 and ask for replacement as it has a 2 years hardware warranty and lifetime phone support warranty.
Revert for any further clarifications.
Thanks & regards,
