Hello when I start up my oki c3200 I hear a loud

Hello when I start up my oki c3200 I hear a loud grinding noise coming from the printer while it is warming up. It then stops. The noise returns and printer continues to grind during and throughout printing of a document. It does not matter if there is one page or twenty pages to print.

SOURCE: Oki C5150N Grinding noise

One of the drum cartridges is stuck. Test by removing them one at a time with the printer off, then turning on.

SOURCE: grinding noise on OKI C3300

I have had a similar problem. . Black drum needed changing. There was also a grinding noise developing. I have taken each drum and toner module out of the printer and booted it up with one of the 4 missing. It was the Cyan drum that was making the noise. . Question is what can I do? I am not a printer expert. .

I will contact the local printing shop that I use for more info and will come back to you. I suspect that I will need a new drum . . .

Yes it can be saved, it is indicating the fuser thermister is open or below temperature. Try opening the printer and restarting it. If that does not fix it you may have to replace the thermister or the fuser

One of the drums needs to be replaced. Systematically remove one at a time until the grinding noise no longer happens, then replace that drum.

What is the cause and solution of a loud grinding noise coming from a xerox workcentre 6605 when printing

Sometimes when the toners get low on toner you will hear the gears grinding, or if there is an obstruction in the waste toner auger. Also check the drum units to make sure they are turning freely.

Strange loud noise coming out of my OKI C7400

If it is a dry barring in the fan you should have it fixed because it will stop someday and you will need a new printer. Well that is just a way to justify an upgrade.
