Updating maps on garmin nuvi 1390t. Won't take 4g/sdhc card

You are correct. The 1390t works with microSD cards. While microSDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible.
You need to use microSD cards 2GB and smaller.

Distance to intersection or destination is off by 20-30 meters, how can I correct this?

Hi
connect your gps to your computer and run the garmin web updater program (free from garmin).
Make sure you have all the firmware updates as every now and again they readjust the satellite information to correct position errors.

Where can I get replacement screen for Garmin Nuvi 1390t. Mine cracked and Garmin is asking for $190 to replace

Search online for someone selling same model, ebay, craigs list, etc.. One that has issues not related to dead screen will be cheap, and you can get practice with dissaembly on the "bad" one before taking yours apart.

Got it for Xmas-just turned it on and it won't get a satellite signal...what gives ?

Hi.

Try resetting the Garmin Nuvi (access maintainance mode).

If that does not fix the problem, then the unit may be faulty. In that case contact Garmin at the number that you find on the owners manual to get the unit replaced.
