If you do not have the disk that came with the new device, you can download it for free. just go to the manufacturer's website, locate the driver for your operating system and download it and run it. J.

Go to the manufacturers webpage and download the driver software, make sure its the correct one and the most recent too. Then just follow the setup and you should be good.

is this just a typical usb or an external hard disk? if it's just a usb, you dont need to install it.if its an external hd you really need it's software
