Hello,

Check the settings on the device, the settings is most likely the cause of this, and if all settings are correct, i would advice you take the machine to the dealer, this might be factory fault, the machine might need a technical reset of some component, because it seems to me that the problem is factory fault issue, call the dealer to help take a look at the problem.

Take care.

I must be threading my bernina artista 80 wrong it does not sew. I have rethreaded it a lot of times. what am I doing wrong now

Check to ensure that the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back.

Always thread the machine with the take-up lever in the highest position.

Consult the manual for exact threading instructions.

The needle thread will not pick up the bobbin thread

It looks right but its not. Try looking on the internet for threading instructions. The bobbin winds in two directions, I have never saw a Bernina but I have 2 new machines and the thread goes in and then threads back to the left. Its hard to describe. But if the bobbin isn't right it will not pick up the thread. Write to Bernina for instructions. There are websites that have the directions for free.

Bernina 1300 dc overlocker skipping stitches

Make sure the chain stitch thread is threaded exactly as it should be, make doubly sure the thread comes off the bobbin vertically and runs through all eyes smoothly. Any faults in the threading causes extra tension at the needle despite what the tension is set on.
If this is not the cause then the needle depth and the looper timing needs checking.
