You may use a two-part epoxy adhesive/sealant but the cause of the crack must be addressed first. The tub will eventually be damaged completely if there's an issue with the inner basket banging the sides of the the tub. Address any balance issues then take the tub out to apply the sealant properly.

Check to make sure that the suspension springs are securely attached to the suspension housing. Remove the front panel and the rear access panel for complete access to the suspension springs.

What type of glue can I use to glue a poster board to a glass window that will hold up in winter?

The best product that will not harm the poster or window is silicone caulk. There are also some crystal clear adhesives made from silicone now available.

How to replace Drain pan?

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You did not provide a model number which is located on the upper side of your fresh food section wall.

Generally there are only two types of drain pans:

1.) One is mounted on the top of the compressor and fixed with a high temperature adhesive which over time the adhesive dries out and cracks and the drain pan falls off and you have a flood. Just bad design.
While in the field I would use duct tape to remount it.
2.) The other, although the part is available, can not be removed due to interference with the compressor tubing and other components. At the factory the drain pan was put in before the compressor and other components. Just Bad design.
When you have a crack or leak - I used duct tap to line the drain pan. Then I used a good high temperature silicone adhesive as a sealant over the duct tape.

This may not sound like a very professional repair for a certified field technician, but this is what we all did due to poor design.

WHAT IS THE SITUATION FOR A LEAK ON OILPAN

new late model vehicles use an adhesive sealant when they fit the pan to the block. Over time this adhesive can break down and leak but this takes years on over 100.000 miles and the replacement is a gasket that you use good quality sealant with..

Can i use an adhesive as a sealant?

i recommend going to the store and getting a proper sealant. adhesives are generally used just to fill a gap, while sealants are more used for actually fully sealing the gap off

Clicking sound where drivers dash meets window every time you hit a bump

Most likely the sealant has gotten hard and is losing adhesion, the windshield glass is shifting with body flex and chattering on the old sealant. replace windshield or remove and reseal it, should stop it.
Could be if the windshield was replaced a cheap sealant was used. Contact a good windshield replacement company for help or,
excessive body flex might be a previous accident repair done badly, a reputable body shop could tell if it had been repaired, or run a Carfax report on it for the history if unknown. Good luck!

My waterrower has a leaking seam in the plastic tank. I know its not that expensive to get it fixed, but its a big hassle...80 mile round trip in heavy traffic. Is it ok to use plastic sealant like you use...

I sealed my tank seal permanently and also fixed cracks on the bottom with Loctite PL Marine Fast Cure Adhesive Sealant. On the inside when the tank was apart I glued a heavy plastic patch directly over the cracks in the bottom. I made the patch from a flat section of plastic cut from an old refrigerator crisper drawer. After installation with the tank laying flat and level glue the upper side of the tank to the adjacent wood for stability. Wait a few days before filling. Photos are attached. Washing Machine Emptying

Sure sounds like a hole or crack in the tub.  Unplug power, shut off water, and disconnect the hoses.  Tilt the washer onto its front and look underneath.  Use a light to inspect the tub bottom and sides for a hole or crack. If it is small enough you might be able to plug it with silicone sealant.

Washing machine problem...

A good marine type silicone sealant (like what you might use on boats) might buy you some time. However, with the vibration of the machine and the torque applied to the tub when the transmission and drive motor engage to spin will only make the crack worse over time. Sorry, but you might want to think about replacing the tub.
