Question about Samsung ML 2010 Laser Printer

1 Answer

I just used my Samsung printer to print a document. It got stuck toward the end and did not come out. As a result I pulled the paper out and now the On line/error light is red. I've tried turning the printer off and then back on opening/closing the front as well as the area on the top but it is still red. Please help. Thanks!

I have paper stack in my Brother HL2140 laser printer, how I take the paper?

Hi cillacp,

Ok, firstly some may say turn off the printer before removing the paper, but I find it easier with the printer on. (hopefully you know abit about electrical dangers :) This is because when you start pulling the paper the printer will automatically rotate to help get the paper out.

Ok the mistake many people make when dealing with a paper jam, is they try and pull the paper out from the wrong end. You should therefore open the cap of the printer, (same cap where you change the toner, or sometimes you can open the back of the printer). then pull, preferabble using two tweezers, one on each end of the paper towards where the paper would go if it were printing normally. i.e. pull towards the exit of the paper if printing.

Hope this helps abit.

Paper is stuck. All cords are correctly attached. What should I do?

  • Step 1
  • Open the front panel of the printer. Look to see if the jammed paper is visible.
  • Step 2 Pull the paper if you see it. Pull gently so you do not damage any other part of the printer.
  • Step 3 Open the next panel. This panel is usually found below the already-open panel.
  • Step 4 Pull the paper if you see it. Again, do so gently.
  • Step 5 Open the next panel. This panel can be found towards the back.
  • Step 6 Pull the paper gently if you can see it. Continue to open any remaining panels, and then remove the toner cartridge.
  • Step 7 Look for the paper by taking out all removable parts. If you still cannot find the paper, replace everything and attempt to restart the printer.
  • Step 8 Once you have removed the paper, restart the printer. You will have to print your document again.
