Did you contact the tech support for your camera? They may be able to give you a less risky solution in comparison to what I am going to tell you.
In the worse case if you cannot find a driver for your camera:
I found that many of the Windows 2000 drivers worked with XP. You will get a warning that the driver is not approved. Just over-ride the warning and install it. Re-start the computer and see if it is working okay.
I would suggest to do an image backup of your complete drive before trying out non XP drivers on your computer. From past experience I had very little problems over the last number of years with Windows 2000 drivers used on XP.

I own a Panasonic DMC-FX07. It was dropped and the screen no longer displays. It will still take photos and operate fine, but can't view LCD. Is this something you can repair? If so, about how much would it cost? thanks.
