You probably can't. It should still be covered under warranty because it's so new. Send it back to the company and have them fix it for you or give you a replacement.

Sound breaks up when direction are spoken

Connect your unit to your computer with the USB cable, go to Garmin.com and update your software from the "SUPPORT" tab. This should fix you sound problem unless it is caused by a broken speaker. Also see http://www.sharc.net/gps_audio_repair.htm for additional information.

F20 power port connection broken in unit.

Hi,
I have recently acquired a Navman F20 Satnav with a broken USB port (It was rattling around inside the unit.)

I took apart the case and re-fitted the USB port with no problems at all. Just with a steady hand and a fine tipped soldering iron. I also superglued the port in place to add extra strength.

Put it all back together, and it now charges and connects to the PC exactly as it should.

So, before you throw away a sat nav with this problem, contact me and I can fix it for you, or, alternatively I will offer to buy the broken unit from you.

My Email address is darren.lee27@ntlworld.com.

Thanks

Broken Usb!! Please Help!!

If its a tomtom one V2 then the only way to charge is via USB . Looks like you need a repair. There are many places to get it repaired other than TomTom but we need to know where in the WORLD you are ? Theres no point in telling you theres a repair shop in Downtown Sidney if you actually live in France .

Usb port trouble

You may have to run the program with administratve rights. (I had some trouble after getting a new laptop with Vista, that fixed it).
It may also be a faulty port on your gps, or a breakage in the usb cable... Or it may be broken...
