This is not a problem with mic. Settings in System was changed so that mic has been muted. To enable goto contol pannel and Select Sound & Devices and Select Advanced in Device Volume there you will get Master Volume Settings Menu So that uncheck the Mic option and check for Mic Setting in that.
hope this will be helpful.
Thanks & Regards
I am having a problem with the sound on mine as well. I've tried these steps but there are 2 x's in the first step. So, i don't know what to click on. Could someone please e-mail me back at email@example.com with an answer?
How about trying with its internal speakers ?
if it works fine then the sound output jack-port have a problem.
If not working then try to re-install your audio drivers.
If still not having good result even if you re-install your operating system, you should go to repair center since you have a hardware failure.
since your laptop is still new, i suggest that you refer your problem to your dealer since i'm sure it's still under warranty. have it checked and replace the defective part or better yet, ask for the whole unit to be replaces. just dont forget to back-up your files.
