This is caused by a dirty laser. You can try cleaning it with a q-tip and alcohol. If that doesn't work then it needs to be replaced. Check out www.wiredextreme.com or call 1-888-389-3038. We are a professional game console repair company that can fix this for you. All of our repairs include a 90 day warranty on the whole console.

My Iomega Rev drive keeps ejecting the disks I put into it. It has been backing up reliably for a few years now and recently it started ejecting every disk I put into it.

FWIW, I had the same problem...here's what I did.

I would insert a disk and it would get ejected immediately...didn't even look like the light in the eject button would flash. Rebooting the drive and computer didn't work.

I inserted a disk.
Before it could be ejected, I pulled the plug on the Rev Drive.
I waited several seconds
Re-plugged in the rev drive.

It seemed to read my disk and I was able to use my Rev drive. (So far so good...knock on my wooden head.)

Luck

Check to see if the flash disk has a switch located anywhere on the body. Some flash disks have this switch which is to write protect the flash disk from accidental erasure of its contents.
