That happens when the monitor goes off but the inverter light failed to switch off. The triac on the inverter board is shorted and must be replaced. When the triac on the inverter board is shorted a continues voltage is supply to the inverter light (or cold cathode) making your monitor to look like a transparent white plastic.

How to disactivate or bypass the OHP sensor on the phaser for semi opaque paper (calc paper)?

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your lengthy and informative question that does help.
My first thoughts:
Did you try and tell the driver what particular type of paper you wanted to print on such as none Xerox recommended.
A thought just occurred if you were wanting to print transparencies then the printer would have to print strong colours at 100% because once you place the image on a OHP the image would look really washed out.
All the Xerox printers I've ever worked on don't have sensors that look at the opaqueness of the media, they do however have transparency sensors because once the edge of the paper has been detected a jam could occur, so lever type sensors are used to actually feel the media.
Good luck.

REPLACE WEST BIN

I thought it is waste toner tank full.In this case opens the front cover where the black and color cartridges are located on the left side and is usually a white bottle is full transparent.Acesta probably be replaced by the residual toner an empty tank with new or old in care at a particular place (-toner powder is harmful for the body and environment)), then inserted in place

Cut image and transfer to transparent background using gimp

Hi Jody,

Gimp can be frustrating, but it's one of the most amazing and powerful free applications out there. You're right...what you're trying to do is very simple, but you need to know a few tricks to get it to work well.

First, you need to use .PNG as .JPG files don't support transparency. When you try to save a file in .JPG that has a transparency, or alpha, channel, you should be prompted to "export" the image by flattening all layers, which essentially replaces all the transparent areas with the current background color (usually white).

Second, there's a tool that's been added to the most recent versions of the Gimp that does exactly what you want to do. It's called the "Foreground Select Tool" and is really simple to use once you get the hang of it. This tool was added in Gimp 2.4, so you'll need at least that version or higher to use it. This tool uses a two-step process: first you draw a rough circle around the object you want to cut out (your daughter), then you "paint" over the foreground object so the tool can sample all the colors you're wanting to extract. This sounds strange until you do it...once you understand, it's really pretty simple. You can read the docs for this tool here. There's also a YouTube video that shows the basic process. Apparently no sound on that video, but at least you can see what to do.

Not sure what was happening when you tried to use the scissors. There are so many variables, it's hard to tell. You probably didn't need the extra step of adding a transparent layer...when you had your selection copied to the clipboard, you could have used "paste into" or "paste as new layer" or "paste as new image" to get what you want.

Let me know if this doesn't answser your question.

The ALPS MD5500 is capable of both making white undercoat for CMYK colors and white overcoat (more opaque than white undercoat).
MD5500 is produced mainly for the Japanese market only with a Japanese driver.
But you can get the printer here- with english driver :-)): http://www.alps-supplies.com/alps-md5500-microdry-printer-with-english-drivers-p-28.html

Menu display intermitent

display is disclosed which produces multiple visual displays in an intermittent manner which includes a display housing having a perimeter wall which is transparent during visual display and is an opaque mirror between visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing is a composite structure which preferably includes a transparent cylindrical substrate which is coated with an optical film and an opaque mask which defines display windows. Multiple visual displays are produced by a rotating display base which carries rows of rotating display elements. Preferably, the display elements are elongated triangular elements having three image faces which bear images which create the visual displays. The triangular display elements are arranged in a triangular configuration wherein the rows intersect one another at acute angles and are carried by the rotating base. The rotating base includes three display positions and each of the triangular elements includes three display positions. A stationary observer would see nine different visual displays and may see themselves mirrored in between and during the changes of visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing becomes transparent as the triangular display elements are backlit along their entire length by elongated fluorescent or neon light tubes. When the light tubes are off, the cylindrical display housing is an opaque mirror, preferably, about its entire periphery and height. Other embodiments of the invention include a single row of triangular display elements, and a rotating display base which includes display faces consisting of only a single display element.
