Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I am hooking a laptop into a VGA outlet in the wall to display image through two projectors hanging from ceiling. Image use to look fine. Past 3 months the image looks green and the bulbs have been replaced. There are other devices hook up which display their images just fine. Like Tivo image is just fine, DVR player image displays just fine. My computer image on it's own is fine. When my computer is hooked up the image on computer screen is normal but the image displayed through both projectors is green. I thought the bulbs being replaced would fix the problem but it didn't. Any info that you could provide before my ministry event on Saturday July 10 would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Hello,

The problem could either be the green LCD panel or its polarizer. check this two items to fix the problem on your projector, either of this two items are defective.

Take care.

How do I check those things? I am sorry if that is a stupid question. Both projectors are hanging from the ceiling in a room the church lets me use for a ministry event each month. Is is something I can check in the settings or is it inside the projector. Thank You for your help. I do appreciate it.

The DVD player image looks fine and so does image on Tivo. It is only when hooked to my computer does the image appear mostly green with no blue.
Thank You for Your help. I do appreciate it.

My Panasonic PT LC76U has horizontal pixelated lines. See image at this link http://abigproduction.us/_images/panasonic.jpg

you need to check:
the Vga cables if the image shown is that from a computer
firstly check if the Panasonic logo comes ok in the beginning
if ok then try connecting a laptop directly thru a short patch cable to the computer port of the projector[i am assuming that the projector has been installed to the ceiling]
if this works ok , then the projector is fine!
you need to figure out the problem with the vga cabling and switchers if any of them are used!

How to write on wall with some image or photo?

If I understand correctly you want to project an image on the wall.

If this is correct, then open following links to Texas Art Supply:
http://www.texasart.com/tools/light-boxes-and-projectors/projectors/artograph-tracer-projector.html
http://www.texasart.com/tools/light-boxes-and-projectors/projectors/artograph-prism-image-projectors.html
http://www.texasart.com/search/index.cfm?searchstring=projector&store=ALL&x=22&y=13

How it works.
Place image on table.
Put projector over top of image.
Turn on projector, and image is projected to wall or piece of paper hanging on wall.
Trace image or paint directly on the surface.

How do I set up my Elmo to a data projector & a laptop? Specifically, Where do I put the RGB cords - what get's hooked up to what? Thanks!

I am going to bet you got a manual with the TT-02rx that explains the connectivity. If not, you can go to www.elmousa.com and download the manual from the TT-02rx page. Look on page 30.

TT-02rx can be connected in a couple of ways:

1. Directly to Projector - connect a standard VGA cable from the RGB output on the TT-02rx to a RGB (VGA) input on your projector. This will allow you to directly display anything you put under the Elmo camera.
2. USB to laptop, VGA from laptop to your projector. You can connect a standard USB cable from the Elmo to an open USB port on your laptop. From the laptop, you will need to connect VGA cable from output jack to projector input. To view images from the Elmo, you need to have installed the Imagemate software on your laptop first. Elmo can only be viewed thru the software interface.
3. The last option is run VGA from your laptop to VGA input on the Elmo. Then run VGA from Elmo to your projector. This offers the greatest amount of versatility as you can switch between the image on your computer screen and the image on the doc camera. Adding the USB cable as described in 2 above will also allow you to use the digital features such as image capture, reveal, spotlight, etc.

My Canon LV-5210 displays no image for my computer. It has worked fine in the past. And it did not work a couple days ago and then it worked OK yesterday when we accidentently pushed the Input buttom. But...

If your projector displays no image, this could be a variety of problems. First, check that the projector has power. On the top of the LCD or DLP projector should be some lights. With power, those lights will be on. If it has power, check to make sure that the projector lamp is firing. If so, go to the source. Make sure that it is connected with a VGA cable or USB cable to your computer, or with an RGB cable, S-Video cable or DVI connection to your VCR/DVD Player. From a laptop computer, the VGA cable should be connected to the VGA out connection, and into the VGA in connection on the projector. Are both ends tight?
If everything has checked out so far, the solution probably lies with the external monitor port. Check this by holding the Fn key on the keyboard, then press the F7 key. (On some computers, the key might be F5 or F3. Try these if F7 doesn't work) Each time you press the Fn / F7 combination, you will cycle your display through the following settings:
* Press Fn / F2 or F2 once: The laptop screen only
* Press Fn / F2 or F2 twice: The projector port only
* Press Fn / F7 or F2 three times: Both the laptop and projector port
* Wait a few seconds after each time you press the key combination to let the LCD or DLP projector refresh. Nine times out of ten this will result in seeing your projected image.
this should help you :)

Unable to play live tv from lap top to projector

Is it just the live tv or the laptop in general you are not getting a signal from? Using 15 pin VGA cable correct from laptop to projector?
When booted to projector, on laptop, select "FN" key and either F5, F7 or F8 depending on your laptop. Look for the monitor logo on the F keys. This is telling the computer that you have hooked up an additional external monitor (the projector). Once will send image to projector, twice will display on both, a third time will return to just image on laptop.

LCD projector not displaying image of the laptop

On that Dell, you have to tell the laptop to display the image on an external unit--look on either F4 or F8--you will find a small TV screen symbol. You have to press and hold "alt" and press the key. The options are, 1-show image on just the laptop, 2-show the image on the laptop *and* something else, (like a projector), or 3-show an image on JUST an external display. NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector FIRST, then immediately turn on the laptop so they boot together--just one of those strange things...(remember, **for example** first press of "alt" F4 will get you laptop and projector, second press of "alt F4 will get you JUST the projector, third press of the keys will bring you back to just the laptop)---Rick

Acer laptop stopped displaying to projector

Here is the deal. Right-click on desktop. Choose settings. Right-click on screen #2. Click on apply for new settings. The one additional problem you may encounter is the fact that the projector will display an area to the right of your laptop screen. In other words, move your mouse past the right edge on laptop screen. Look at projector image. See your mouse?

Multi-media projection without image

A great deal of the time DVD players are very restrictive on outputting to multiple sources due to copyright protection. In my experience, if you use your laptops function keys to toggle output (For example, on my laptop, I hit FUNCTION + F4 to cycle between LCD,LCD+VGA,VGA), you should be able to disable the laptop's LCD display, only outputting via the VGA cable. It's worked for me with my HP VP6111 and Windows XP in the past. Hope this helps!
