OE error Had a technician come out to repair and after checking everything he concluded that I was using too much soap and that the suds had stopped it from draining. So he left I loaded and OE message. So emptied it of wet clothes and drained it. Next i ran the sanitary cycle empty and OE again. The technician was an LG specialist that they sent. i even blew the drain hose clean. still nothing. maybe there is a reset button???help please

i had same repeat same problem. lg called they sent me too a
"repair technician" who said to run it a few times and eventually problem will abate. 15 loads no soap no clothes same error code. i did not call back that technician. called another technician. ordered pump replacement same error code. finally ordered new mother board my technician replaced it. it now works like a dream. so two techs about 7 visits a pump and a motherboard later she works great. i long for the days when a repairman would come fix a washer and not merely diagnose a problem. maybe thats why MDs r paid the big bucks.

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

I have a Samsung eco bubble WF1804WPU model that started showing the error message SUD. Any time it happens the machine stops washing as if paused and I have to press the pause button twice for it to start...

The SUD error indicates an excessive amount of soap suds in the wash. It will be difficult for the machine to rinse / spin all the soap out during the cycle, and may need to be run thru the cycle again (do not add any more detergent!).

Stop using regular detergents! Front loaders specifically call for "HE" (High Efficiency) detergents as they require less detergent and clean better with the reduced amount of water in these machines. Look for your favorite brand and select the one with the distinctive HE logo show below:

Use only the amount as directed on the bottle - do not use too much. Clothes should come out clean and soap free - and the SUD error should no longer appear - if it continues - double check the amount of detergent you're using as it is probably still too much.

Good luck!

Won't finish the wash cycle

Initially we 1)used less detergent and make sure its marked 'he' . extra soap suds initiates error codes. 2) ran white vinegar with no detergent to clear suds 3) opened, checked and cleared trap.
Everything worked for a time but codes would return or like you would not finish wash cycle until water line in back of machine was made rigid so there was no chance of water or sud backup. So far so good. Good luck.

Whirlpool Duet -Sud displays and washer stops

I;ve had the same problem (SUD on first fill) and found this most helpful for my WFW9600TW01 Duet washer

I duplicated his actions and it cleared up my SUD/F35 error. I think running the diagnostic test multiple times flushes the sensors/sensing lines to eliminate the problem.

What's going on when the letters "sud" appear?

"SUD" is a SUDS detect error. This can be an indication of a restriction somewhere in the drainage system, a failed drain pump, you are using too much detergent, or you are using the wrong type of detergent. The following link explains the error in more detail and how to correct:

If these preliminary measures do not correct your problem, you may have to replace the drain pump. It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code can be generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced. If a new drain pump is required, you can purchase one at any of the following websites: If you need instructions on how to replace a drain pump, the following link explains:
If you have any questions about this repair, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

What causes f35 code and sud errors

are you using the HE soap if not and using the brand you used on your old washer you must not use alot of soap or if will fail over and over. example you should not use more than 1/4 cup of soap on a full load of cloths if you see sud through the door reduce is yet more or give to a other family member and get HE soap you error codes will stop and when you remove the cloths the sound of stickyness will be gone

I have OE error message on my LG washing machine. I have followed other advice on here and cleaned the pump, exit hose all other hoses to the pump and the filter. All the water empties but the pump still...

you may be using too much soap or the wrong soap . you have to use HE soap and about only several spoons of that. too much soap results in too much suds which cannot be pumped out

Spinning and draining does not work, F error or sometimes Sud

Sud means you using to much soap and the f code means soap is locking the drain pump up and wont allow unit to drain and spin.

SUDS error on Neptune washer

It means that there is too much soap in the machine most of the time. Give it time for the suds to go down then try to run it through again. Try using a little less soap later on. Front loaders need less soap than top loaders.
