I would consider a flammable liquid leaking from a vehicle as a dangerous situation...yes. It sounds as though you have a hole in a fuel line and need to get into a service center ASAP.

Installing a fllat screen tv on the wall

We have found many people facing the bodacious task of mounting a large or medium flat screen on a wall. The following should help considerably.
You Will need a helper so know one gets injured. Attach the brackets to the Wall using heavy duty 3/8 x 3 long lag bolts. Use a level for straightness.
If you wish to hide your wires behind a wall for a much nicer set up.

Drill a hole in between the bracket centers on the wall and then use a electricians fish tape to run the rest of your wires. You may repeat this step for speaker wires.
Last thing is to lift your unit up onto the bracket. Danger- This TV can be very bulky and heavy. Place your wires through the holes first before hanging.
Plug in your HDMI cable to the Flat Panel and route to the manufacturer's designated component.

A plastic container with hidden piece of metal caught fire in my Sharp r1490 and burned with a big flame. Several small holes were burned in the ceiling panel. Are we in danger of radiation exposure/ is...

The microwave oven is not safe to use, the fire has compromised the interior of the oven, if you run the microwave it will start to arc and eventually short out the magnetron, because the white enamel paint has been burned away. If you have holes in the ceiling there is danger of radiation leakage, for safety reasons the oven should be replaced.

I seem to have a colony of small bees nesting in a large shallow hole in a Yew tree in my garden. What are they and are they dangerous as my grandchildren frequently use my garden

It's most likely a breed of yellow jacket. These will swarm and attack with stings. It may be a few to 100 to attack at once. Yellow jackets are"t dangerous until you get attacked or if allergic to them. I would have it checked out, because the colony may be small now but it could grow to hold thousands of them.

Jvc 27'' TV is too dark

There are two small holes on the rear side through which you can adjust focus and screen. Use a flash light and locate the two adjustable slots inside the holes. This part carries high voltage. Do not use a metal screwdriver to adjust. Put the TV facing a mirror so you can see how it works. Do not turn more than 1/8th of a turn. The focus control makes picture sharp or fuzzy. Screen control could change brightness. While watching the picture in the mirror, slightly adjust the screen control. Do not turn too much. If it doesn't work, then call a JVC authorized repair center.

The screen faded to black. Followed by a humming noise, and a burning smell. Now the T.V. won't turn back on and the DVD is stuck inside.

Probably something shorted out in the power supply. Sadly these days small TVs are cheaper to replace than to repair. To remove the DVD look for a small hole on the DVD tray door. Straighten a medium sixed paper clip and push into the hole and the DVD tray should release and open. Remove the DVD and toss the TV.

You are seeing retrace lines, Either you have a bad picture tube or your screens control ( on the flyback transformer) is set too high.
On some sets the focus and screens control is accessible without taking the cover off. If so there will be 2 small holes on the back of the set labelled "screen" and "focus"
insert a small screwdriver into the screen control and turn the control until the lines disappear.

If the set does not have the access holes you can stil perform the adjustement, but you should make sure not to touch anything else as there is high voltage present and it could be very dangerous/Lethal to touch the wrong thing

Small melted hole at microwave door -- doesn't appear to have breached the clear plastic on the interior. Is this dangerous and does this require repair? Thank you so much!

It should be okay as long as none of the holes in the fine metal mesh / screen are damaged or enlarged and as long as the door closes fully and evenly.

Keep an eye on it in case it gets worse or any food or grease get stuck in the hole. That can lead to arcing & severe damage.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Sharp flat screen

Hello irishsusan,
Listen carefully, facing the TV from the front, go to the right side of the TV. Look closely where the input jacks are and you will see a small peep hole. Get a small hair pin or tooth pick and press into that hole for about 8 second. This will reset the set to its original specification. If there is 2 hole, just try one first, if that fail to work, try the next.

Let me know what happened

Best Regards

your best bet if you dont have a warranty on the tv is to get it repaired shouldnt be more then 150.00 you dont want the risk of having to fix something else if you get into the tv.
