Stinky towels I cannot seem to get the smell out of my towels. It seems with front loaders this happens. I have a bosch Nexxt Washer. I have tried everything. Any advise....also what should I clean the tub and seal I guess the whole inside with? I leave the door open after every use.

Hi, I have a GE front loading washer. We bought it in April from Lowe's. About a month after we bought it my towels started smelling like mold or mildew. I leave my door open between washes like they said to. I read in the manual it said to put a cup of bleach in and run the clean basket cycle. I went back to Lowe's and he said it's the metal that the washer is made out of and hard water. He said try this washer cleaner called "affresh" so I did. I think it helped alittle bit on the following load and then we were back to smelly towels again.

Have (had) the same problem with my 3 year old he3t washing machine! Stinky towels!!!!! Had some towels for over 20 years and had to replace them not because they wore out but because they got stinky after washing them in my new machine!
I have purchased a ton of new towels and they started to stink too!!! AAAARRRGGG I hate this machine. In fact, it is sitting out by our tool shed. I had an old, "old fashioned" top loader given to me - no more stinky towels! Can't believe I paid sooo much for that machine.......Can't even give it away! Glad to hear I am not the only one with this problem - was beginning to think it was just me. Other people I know with this machine have not had problems...........yet.

Mildew odor in towels in almost invariably being transferred from the washing machine. The clothes washer must be cleaned first then clean the smelly towels and laundry. To compare washer cleaners watch this video of Affresh and Smelly Washer...

Hi. I have a bosche front loader. At the moment when I was white clothing/ sheets i am getting brown/ orange stains - they sometimes seem like soap buildup marks but more recently seem like scorch marks...

If,like most people, you are washing at 30-40c there may be a scum build up between the drums. This can be cured by doing several 90c washes to clean it out.Bosch themselves call this a maintenance wash.

LG Tromm Washer

Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.

Towels smell oily and moldy--really stink

Don't use fabric softener. I had the same problem and read somewhere to stop using the fabric softeners. I don't know why but after about two cycles (they smelled really bad) it worked! I always used fabric softeners with out a problem but one day I just started getting REALLY smelly towels. I always take my wet wash out as soon as the cycle ends and dry it completely so I was surprised when they smalled so bad. Give it a try.

Beeping on spin cycle

It is most likely out of balance, could be for many reasons.
1 could be too many heavy items such as jeans, towels, etc in one load.
2 could be the machine or floor is unlevel.
3 Could be a balance sensor needs replacing.

We have the same problem with the 3200, I have run a cycle through with no clothes and adding bleach instead of detergent.
Seems to help some.
