I changed the Frequency settings which I thought that I was just speading up the clock and making the pc faster. But it will not boot up now. I was able to go to the mfg. web site after the fact and in the mother board documentation it states that I could harm the mother board or memory if I mess with the frequency settings in preferals. How can I go about changing the settings to default? The documentation online says that I can hit F5 or F6 to optimise settings or to return to defult settings but this isn't working. When I trun the pc on it gets stuck in trying to boot up and I don't know what to do. Can you help?

Get rid of "Out Of Range" message on e218c1 monitor.

The device driving the monitor is exceeding the horizontal and vertical frequencies that the monitor can display .....thus the "out of range". The specs for this state that the Horizontal Freq. is 80Khz and the Vertical Rate is 75hz. If you are driving this monitor from a computer running Windows, reboot the PC and use the F8 key to put it in SAFE mode. This will cause the video driver to default to a rate that the monitor can handle. Then go into the screen resolution settings and reset them. The native resolution of the monitor is 1680x1050 at 60 Hz. Exceed that and you'll get the "out of range"

Dear Sir, I have a M7VIG 400 PRO mainboard and I would like to install the sound card. My question would be, that how can I install the sound card that belong to it? Thank you very much in...

I'm not sure I understand the question, it would be helpful to read your question though one last time before posting it to make sure it makes sense. I THINK you're asking how do you make the built in sound card come on? If that's the question, do the following, but BE CAREFUL. You will need to go into the BIOS by pressing the "Delete" key when the PC first starts up. Once you press the power button & see things start to happen on the screen, press the "Delete" key & that will take you into the BIOS (Basic Input Output Systems), but this is a VERY dangerous place for somebody who doesn't know what they're doing (no offense). If you change the wrong setting in the BIOS you may do something to your system that prevents it from booting up. If you do that, then you will have to take it to a repair person. That's another story for another day.

After you press the Delete key, you will see the screen turn blue. Look at the directions on the screen & that will explain how to navigate in there. Note, you cannot use the mouse in the BIOS, only they keyboard. So you will have to navigate the the screen that shows Peripherals, then find the sound device & set the sound device to "Enabled". Then, press F10 to "Save & Exit".

I suggest that you do a "dry run" fist. Press Delete, go into the BIOS & look around. Don't change any settings, just look. Then press the ESC key to exit without saving the settings. That way if you do change something by mistake, it won't save your changes. Try that a couple of times to get familiar with what you're looking at. Then, when you feel comfortable, IF you feel comfortable, make the change to your sound device, & save & exit.

Good luck!

M7vig 400 pro verison 1.0 what kind of audio & video drives can i use?

You can download drivers from Biostar here. (This is the page for M7VIG 400. The page for M7VIG PRO lists the same drivers.) They list which operating systems are supported for each device.

I see your question asks "what kind of ... drives". If you didn't mean "drivers" and I've misunderstood your question, please post a follow-up with more information and I'll try to help further.

I have waves on my screen, what do I need to do to get rid of them?

you don't say whether your monitor is crt/tft....

either type the problem is likely to be refresh rate of the monitor...

try this... (xp pro sp2)

  1. Open Display in Control Panel.
  2. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
  3. On the Monitor tab, in the Refresh Frequency list, click a new refresh rate
  • To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
  • The default refresh frequency setting is 100 Hertz, although your monitor may support a higher setting. Check your manufacturer's documentation for information regarding the settings your monitor supports.
  • A higher refresh frequency reduces any flicker on your screen, but choosing a setting that is too high for your monitor can make your display unusable and cause damage to your hardware.
  • Changes to the refresh frequency affect all users that log on to the computer.
good luck, rate if useful please
