Are you using a dial up connection, DSL, cable?

If you're trying to attach a file to an email and receive an error message or If your browser is stalled or the file doesn't seem to be attaching after a number of minutes, here are some things to check or try:

Slow connection speeds or browser issues: In this case, I recommend that you try using a different browser (if you are using Internet Explorer, try switching to Firefox, Netscape, etc.), and try uploading your files at less busy times of the day.

Other programs running: If you have a bunch of other programs currently running, your available memory might be low. This could slow down the attaching process. Recommend closing any programs you're not using, then going through the attachment process again.

Yahoo mesenger is not sign in and connectiong with net due to virus problem

I would fix the virus problem first before attempting to log into yahoo messenger. If you have a virus you need to quarantine it. If you have a anti-virus make sure it's up to date. Run the a scan on your pc and do a window's update. The anti-virus should be able to quarantine the virus or give you an option to do so.

Tip

Virus Protection

I have observed that no Anti-Virus software gives you complete protection. Whether its from big known companies like : Norton, McAfee, AVG etc. To Keep your computer safe, try not to click on any unknown advertisements or links on the websites. Keep your Anti-Virus softwares up to date. In case, if your computer is infected than try to use malwarebytes and update it before scanning your computer. Remove all the infections and quarantine items on the software and restart your computer. It will be free from viruses.

How to stop Security screens from popping up on my desktop

You have the Conflicker virus,
You will need to update your virus software and scan for virus.
If you don't have virus protection try AVG free, it should clean it up. you may also want to run Malwarebytes software.

Unable to delete a virus

The best software available is called Malware Bytes. It is a smaller application that kills everything you don't want and is free. It can be downloaded from http://www.malwarebytes.org .
After downloading and installing, update the definitions file if not prompted to do so right away. After a full scan, you will have to reboot. Upon rebooting, run the scan again to insure every piece of malware has been removed. Works everytime.

Fake site turning up

try changing your homepage to what you want it to be. if it keeps reverting back to that or won't let you change it at all - i seem to remember an adware infection called search save or cool savings (something to that effect). If that's the case you will need some sort of virus/adware removal tool to get rid of it or you can reinstall windows.

hope this helps

In my experience Norton can become flakey at times. Make sure your subscription to norton has not expired. Otherwise try un-installing norton and re-installing it. Part of it may have become corrupted.
