Followed suggestions for LE message and it solved my problem with the OE message - cleaned the drain filter located on the front of the machine near the floor.

remove cover again , spend a few min cleaning the threads off, probly got some grit & dirt on them after water rushed out, dry them and a small film of vasiline over the o-ring wouldnt hurt nothing

You may have a broken pump impeller - you will have to order the whole pump (the filter on this machine allows BIG stuff through and it can ultimately damage the impeller)
Have you run this through diagnostics and determined if it is the drain or recirculating pump?
To run diagnostics:
Press and hold the "Spin Speed" and "Soil Level" buttons at the same time - then hit the power on the button
All lights should display - Press the Start Pause button throught the following cycles:
1 - Tumble clockwise
2 - Low speed spin
3 - High speed spin
4 - Prewash inlet (let it run for a few seconds to put some water in the tub)
5 - Wash Inlet
6 - Hot Water inlet
7 - Bleach inlet
8 - tumble counter clockwise
9 - Heater
10 - Circulation pump (see if your noise occurs here)
11- Drain pump (let this run until the tub is empty)
12 - Power off, finished
Once you figure out which pump, order the correct replacelement

SOURCE: Drain pump on LG Washer
Have the same problem , but when it gets to the drain cycle ( about 12 min left ) will chime and show an i con on display ( washer with a hose on bottom left with an X on it ) and it doesnt drain. I un plug and let sit for awhile , turn on and go to no spin and it will manually drain ( sometimes ) Do I need and New drain pump?

You replace the whole drain pump. Pretty easy to do from the opening in the bottom by resting the unit on its back. (Make sure you drain the unit completely) You should be able to get the drain pump (pt #4681EA2001D) from http://www.encompassparts.com/lgconsumer/ for less than $50 + s&h.
