Question about Garmin Fishfinder 90
I repaired a broken power cable wire on my Garmin Fishfinder 90. With the boat out of water, should the depth reading on the Garmin be flashing "0.0"?
Possibly.most ive owned will flash random numbers when out of the water.the fact its flashing or reading numbers at all, means its working.youll have put it in water to see how accurate, obviously

If you use the fuse block on the boat, route the positive connection
through the fuse
Connect the black (- or ground) wire to the negative voltage terminal.
Install or check the 3A fuse (on the fuse block or in the in-line holder).
Align the notches on the cable plug and on the back of the Fishfinder 300C. Insert the cable into the connector, and turn the locking ring
counter-clockwise until it stops.
If htese all are correct and voltage is there at the tranducer end, the tranducer is faulty, and should be replaced. OK
