Turn stereo on says cd error and it will not eject the cd and ejecting cd stays on the display

Hello ,
You surely have a mechanical problem , the tongues and lever that manages the CD loading and discharging are stucked , surely the Cd is not sitting well enough for the Digital lens to read the Cd, Ultimate solution is to replace the CD drive (you could get a low price stand alone connected via AV if your car stereo has Aux input because from experience trying to resolve the delicate levers and tongues dont work out well in the end

My stereo is not coming on.. the time will illuminate when i press the display button and the lights behind the buttons will come on but will not turn on.. the cd will eject as well but thats it..

Sounds like the fuse for the switched power has blown. The stereo has two power inputs -- one unswitched, called "memory" because it lets the stereo remember your presets, and one switched, just called "power"

It should let you see the time, eject a CD, etc all when the car is turned off. Since the fuse for the main power line is blown, the stereo thinks the car is turned off all the time.

Can't get auxiliary to work on Pioneer Mosfet Head unit 50x4

you have to turn the AUX input on through the function menu which can be accessed by following these steps

1. with the unit on. press and hold the source button unitl the unit turns of (or goes into demo mode, which is fine)

2. depending on the model that you have, you will have to press and hold the
(volume button or the audio button), until a menu is displayed.

3 . toggle through until you find AUX 1 and AUX 2. i would turn them both on and see which one you have plugged into, then you can go back and turn the other off.

4. once you have change it to ON. press the source button to turn on. the aux option should now be in your source options.

5. also, while on AUX, you can go into the audio settings and turn up the SLA (sound level adjustment) to +4

hope this helps

Alpine CDM-9803 Cd Player

You need to visit Alpines' site to download the owner's manual for your unit. In the mean time here is some info from the troubleshooting guide for your error code.

• Mechanism error.
1. Press the "eject" button and eject the CD.
If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.
2. When the error indication remains after ejecting,
press the "eject" button again.
If the error indication still does not turn off after
pressing the "eject" button for a few times, consult your
Alpine dealer.
Note
When the "- - - E" is displayed:
In case that the disc cannot be ejected by pressing the "eject"
button, press the RESET switch (refer to page 4) and
press the "eject" button again.
If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.

Good luck.

Not being able to access my aux input

Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.
