Can`t sync my joy stick with my pc

Is your PC set up with plug n play? Is the joystick set up to just plug n play? I mean if not then it won't be as easy as plugging it in a usb port. Some things need a software disc. That joy stick may need a device driver.
As a Fixya friend of yours ,I am providing a link to the Logitech site for this exact joystick so hopefully with a couple clicks you can match your computer on their site with this joystick and maybe download the driver needed for it....maybe. I do not know what system you are using nor the year of the joystick so it's up to you to put in the effort to see if you can obtain the driver. I am giving you this link only if you promise to remember not all devices are made to just plug into a universal serial bus and presto okay? Good luck.

The port of the Gravis Thunderbird II joystick is really weird and I don't know where to connect it.

More than likely you're looking at a serial connection and you may not have a serial port on your computer. What you would need in this case would be a serial to usb converter. You can find these on amazon.com or any other site that offers cables/converters etc.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

The older the computer considering innovation makes likely the incompatibility to joystick devices. Compartilities also includes the purpose resourcefulness of the computer devices. For example, an old computer may have been manufactured compatible to older joysticks. Usually, old computers are shy of media enhancement features enhanced with modern devices. Joysticks least achieves productively with computers that least have the entire media experience. Verify the innovativeness of the joystick. An older joystick of the computers generation may likely become compatible. Recent devices like joysticks are least comparable to prior devices because of the built-in program requirements. Prior devices required Disk to install. The disk was only compatible to the computer that was designed to suit. Recent devices are plug_and_play least present on prior computers. Once plugging a recent device to an old computer, plug and play may not display. While attempting to download the disk program may least be compatible to the built in device. Usually electronic devices are generationally comparatively where computers compatible to peripheral devices. The joystick may be compatible to the computer as a device to device communicating. Once the software program that request joystick functions are modern innovations request features least present with computers that are maleficent. For example, recent joysticks that are generic would plug and play on every computer of recent innovation. The malfunction is experienced with the purpose function of the joystick. Simulator devices programs require several pixels from the computer to attain displays. The joystick may be connected to display lit displays. The software program however may require resolution over surpassed by both the computer and joystick. Every devices of computers hardwires, software's connections have to be designed as preserved functions to achieve desirable effects.

I can,t get windows 7 to recognize this joystick

Is this the version you have, http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/joysticks/devices/291 ? If it is, click on Downloads, then select Win7 in the OS drop down and then the version (32- or 64-bit). Install the driver and see if that works.

If it doesn't work, check that your USB ports are working and active. Try a different port and check if a known working USB device in the ports. Try a direct connection instead of a hub. Check the Device Manager (Control Panel > System and Security > System) for an red triangle with an X or a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. If you have either one, try to update your drivers and make sure that the ports are not disabled for security. Also check for USB ports that are disabled for power savings (an advanced setting from the Screen Saver).

If these do not solve the problem, then the USB cord may be damaged. To fix, you would have to be confident in the ability to desolder the cable and then solder in a new one without losing track of which wire is which. (Standard USB 2.0 cables have pin 1 red +5 V, pin 2 white D- (data), pin 3 green D+ (data), and pin 4 ground.) If it isn't the cable, then it is the joystick circuitry and I have no information on the circuit board design.

I hope this helps.

G25 wheel, usb device not recognized

Hi Telemachou,
You might want to call the Logitech Customer Care, try on another computer/Playstation, if the problem persist, then you should get a replacement for hardware failure.
Thanks and have a nice day

How can I install if I havent got a Cd or any other files? I just got the joystick only, and my computer cant see the USB port including the joystick... wot now?

There should be no driver needed for this under WinXP/Vista

First, make sure that the USB port you're using works -- plug in a different USB thing into that port, even just a mouse, and confirm that the computer sees the device and it works.

You can also try plugging the joystick into a different USB port on the same computer, or take it to a different computer to see if it works there.

If this helps, please be sure to hit the "thumbs-up" for me.
If not, use "add comment" to tell me what you find from your troubleshooting, and I'll try to get it worked out for you.

Joystick adaptors

I have been trying for a couple of years now.. The companies tech support had no solution either. As far as I know....you CAN"T. The BlackHawk is a Digital device and the USB Adapters are for Analog Gamepads and joysticks. I have tried it and it does not work.
Shortly after this joystick (My favorite of all times) came out everyone switched over to USB interface instead of using the midi/game port.
Either buy a Soundcard with a midi port or you will have to move on to another joystick. I have yet seen a pci card with just a gameport on it.. Good luck
