I should add if i plug and unplug the power cord and
turn on and off the set multiple times i can get it to
turn on. If I get it on it will play as long as I want.
But if I turn it off at any time the same problem occurs.

A cooling fan could have failed or is clogged with dust or the ballast may be over driving the lamp. If the tv is in warranty or just outside of warranty call Panasonic directly. also make shure the cooling vents have space for air flow

    Hi,
you might want to try quality batteries. When you replace the batteries let the keyboard set with no batteries for e.g. 5 minutes so that it "registers" that the batteries have been replaced. Maby disable the onscreen message and just use the keyboard untill it stops working :-)
    Regards.

that lamp timers are only there to give you an idea that the lamp may fail soon. the tv will count to a certain number of hours and then give the message on screen. most tvs the number will be around 4000hours or so. i suggest using the tv until the lamp fails you may change a lamp that has many many many more hours when you dont need to. there is a timer that you can reset if you consult your owners manual so the message will not show up any longer.

    Problems with Mitsubishi WD-52525

When you replace these laps on these TV's they have an internal clock to countdown the lamp usage. After installing the new lamp the TV asked you if you replaced the lamp and you should answer yes. If not its going to ask again. First thing is go through the motion of replacing the lamp take the lamp out etc. then place it back in the set and turn it back on. Follow the on screen instructions and that should reset the lamp timer.
