Hi there,

Well first of all you can check out the drain line - A clog in the drain line or air gap is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. If further you have the same problem then you can check the out pump - dishwasher pump use to ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support. Look for an impeller (a round plastic fan blade-type of device) that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them. Please post comments for further help or information..........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Roper washing machine does not fill for rinse cycle. Goes directly to rinse agitate without water.

Without Model number I am only guessing but I suspect you have a blocked sensing tube that travels from the Level selector switch to the side of the tub somewhere. It is possible for this plastic tube to become partially clogged and not allow trapped air to vent when tub is drained of water. Usually this problem manifests itself as an overflow of the tub. Check the full length of this clear hose and see if the end nearest the tub looks like it may have debris or dirty detergent clogging it.

This hose is pushed onto a nipple mounted to a reservoir on the side of the tub. Push a thin copper wire 4-5 inches into the those after removing from nipple and also down into the nipple an inch or two before reinstalling the hose to the nipple. You MIGHT even blow into the hose while you have it off and you SHOULD hear a clicking sound coming from the level selector switch body.

Good Luck. Come back with Model number under lid if that doesn't help.

Amana washer will not go through rinse cycle

WASHER WILL NOT RINSE:
If your washer doesn't go through the washer rinse cycle, the most likely cause is the water valve. What happens is the water valve will stop letting cold water into the washer; therefore, once the washer gets to rinse it will either stop or not do anything during the whole rinse cycle.
This is because when you selected your water temperature, you selected warm/cold or hot/cold. The hot water came in and you didn't notice any problems. When it got to rinse, the cold water the cold water won't come in. Therefore, the washer does nothing.
To check the water valve, first cut the water off and remove the hoses off the back of the washer. Then one at a time point the hoses inside the washer tub and turn the water back on. If you don't have good water pressure, turn the water back off and remove the strainer that should be in one end of the hose. Inspect the strainer to see if it is stopped up, clean it and reinstall it. Now repeat this test. If you have good water pressure now, reinstall hose and your problem is fixed.
If you still don't have good water pressure, the problem is in your house plumbing and you need to call a plumber. If you had good water pressure the first time you performed the test, the water valve is bad and needs replacing.
TIMER
If your washer doesn't go through the washer rinse cycle the timer may be the problem. Sometimes the timer gets stuck in the middle of the cycle or won't turn at all. If the washer runs, but the timer doesn't turn, the timer is bad and needs replacing.
Do you have anti-flood hoses leading to the machine. If you do there is probably a loose tube in the back causing a small leak. When the hoses detect that water is still flowing after a certain amount of time due to the leak it shuts down and causes the machine to turn off during the rinse/spin cycle

SM 8525492A whirlpool washer rinse cycle no water comes out, just hums

when the washer goes into rinse cycle it only uses cold water so clothes don't rinkle,so most likey you have a problem with your cold water,do this, shut down the water to the washer, remove the water lines from the back of washer and mark them so you know how they came off, stick the hoses into the washer if they reach or a bucket, turn on the cold water to see if water is coming out of hose,if water does come out of hose good then stick the cold water hose back on the washer and run it only on cold,if it doesn't fill then you know you have a problem with the water valve on the washer and it's not the house water valve that's bad,and usually if you have a problem with the washer water valve it will just hum and no water will enter the washer so if you hear a humming sound it will be the water valve.tried looking up the model number you sent but it doesn't come up on the parts lookup

Dropped a water bottle cap in the rinse cycle dispenser. I removed the tray but can't get the cap out. Water is now spilling out through the tray area. Called a repair service and they are very expense...

open up the top by removing the 4 screws inside the detergent dispenser door lid and raise the lid to retrieve the cap(of course doing this after it has been unplugged from the power supply!!!)

Problem with the air flow water cime out

There is a ventilator mechanism on the top right corner, behind the control panel / front cover.

******TURN THE POWER OFF AT THE BREAKER BEFORE STARTING, BE SURE POWER IS OFF ******

Open the door; remove all of the screws that hold just the front panel (not the controls panel). These screws are located on the inside of the door, around the outer edges. The front door panel will be able to be removed. Close the door with the front panel removed.

***IMPORTANT be sure nobody will come in contact with the exposed wiring (especially little kids) *********

Turn back on the breaker, turn on the washer, and run a quick rinse cycle. See where the water is coming from.

On my washer (same model) i had to replace the entire vent kit (sears parts ~$40.00) Call them with your model and serial number, or search online. Removal and replacement was very easy, and it did fix my leaking problem. Checked with the front door panel off and a quick rinse before I TURNED POWER BACK OFF and put the front cover back on.

Root cause?? From what I can tell, the solenoid stopper hardens over time, which allows for water from the spray arms to leak past.

Get it fixed now before you smoke the motor or control card. My part number was ABT35083501 be sure to double check model before purchasing.

Good luck!

Model GE TBX16SPCL Water dripping from vent at top of fridge compartment. Fridge and freezer regulating temp properly. No other issues. The dripping water is very cold. Thanks, Michael

Michael, I live in an apartment that has this model. I had a similar problem that the apartment maintenance man concluded was a clogged vent. I don't no precisely what he did to fix it but it involved opening the vent compartment and cleaning it out. Be sure to take everything off the shelves of the refrigerator before your start because it makes a mess. Good luck.

Jet spray nozzle not spraying water.

If no water is coming out at all, it might be that the inlet filter is clogged or the Est. time shows the code IE. To clean out the inlet filters, unplug the washer, turn off the water, open the valves, take a filter cap thing and try rinsing it out. To put it back to operational use, reverse the steps above.

Drying problem

Hi,
As I had the same problem, I worked on my machine and found out the heater unit was not working (it is a brand new machine ! - remark : as I moved overseas, LG did not cover it with their warranty).
But back to what I did : I ran the check program (instructions can be found in the Service Manual) and verified it was sending voltage to the heater on step 36. So I checked the heater unit (in the bottom of the machine) and found it was burned or open. So I ordered a new heater assembly ($40 on eBay), replaced it myself and am completely happy with the results.
Remarks : the heater is powerful enough to heat cold water to the temperatures required (I don't have hot water in the faucet); it seems that the heater also produces heat for the drying cycle (my dishes were completely wet at the end of the cycle before, now they get completely dry). My only disappointment, mentioned by some in the forum, is that the outlet during the drying cycle is in the bottom of the door, so steam condensates into droplets on the kitchen floor. But now I get clean dishes, and this machine is amazingly silent and efficient. Good luck to you !

Help the water on my dishwasher is screwy.

The problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side on most models), in which case replace the water valve.
