Is hot air blowing out of discharge usually top of unit is large line suction cold if so compressor is probablly running. should be sweating on a hot humid day if not may need charged is cold air blowing out of registers if running too long may ice up and restrict airflow is filter clean important. if compressor is not running it could be several reasons too many to get into detail may have to call remember a old or out of adjustment unit will cost alot ie electric bill good luck hope this helps

How or what setting do you turn on to get cold air

Make sure the thermostat is turned to below what the room tempeture is. Make sure that the unit is in the cooling and not just the fan.

Air conditioner will not come on. The tempeture gage is reading -40. The sensor is not reading properly.

The air conditioner may not work properly if your ambient temp is reading -40. The a/c control unit monitors ambient temp so that it does not operate at too low outside temps. I would recommend fixing the ambient temp sensor and rechecking your a/c operation.

Our A/c doesnot hold the tempeture set. If I set it for 78 as the day gets hotter it slowly climbs to up to 81. It will eventualy come back down to 78 after a hard day of work. If there is rainy day it...

The tempeture controll will not respond to reducing the tempeture. It will respond to increases but not decreases

Sadly the company is out of business and parts are unavailable. If you are handy with electronics you may be able to remove the button panel and unstick the affected button, or replace it with a new microswitch.

Lowside psi. should about 60-68 highside about 225-250. This is aproximent pressures as indoor and outdoor tempetures play a big part in determining propper charge.

Air conditioning is blowing hot air, system fully charged compressor is woring

The problem is the venting door. There are vent doors that are used to switch between AC and heat. Some vehicles use a cable that opens and closes the vent doors, other cars use vacuum and some are electric.

Whatever the case may be, if you feel the cold on the tubes, then the AC is likely working, you have to get the vent door working
