My Seiko railroad approved bracelet solar power watch stopped, how do I get it running

the advice is to buy a new one, no one is fitting the batteries to these, due to the high part cost.
even if it's in warranty, seiko just send a new watch out.

Have replaced the battery several times & works for a few days then dies again - what could be wrong? Seiko SUK008

In my experience the most common cause of fast discharge of a battery or a capacitor is a gummy or dirty gear, which cause a much heavier electric load on the battery. Causing it to fail too soon.
Some watches are simply poorly oiled. Others are poorly sealed so moisture or dirt gets in.
I would recommend a simple cleaning and oiling. Very often that will make your batteries last much longer.

How to change battery

mcdevito75 here, With the tools and time and effort required to change the battery yourself, the best bet is to have a small watch repair shop in your area do the job., Add to that you may need a special size battery.

I have a Seiko stainless steel ladies watch, 3 years old, only one 'winder' no fancy buttons, analogue style. It has suddenly started beeping every hour - how do I turn it off?

mcdevito75 here, The beeping must be a signal that the battery is weak, have the battery changed. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.
