    when i turn the tv on i have the blue lines then they go away. but when i watch a dvd they are always there

Those are retrace lines. I had the same problem. See the pot adjustment procedure below.

Blue and red arched lines on screen when background dark


Sounds like you are describing retrace lines that could indicate that your CRTs or something in the drive circuits are bad.. Check the resistors on the CRT sockets to see if they are in tolerance. If they are try turning the red and blue screen adjustments down just a little this should take the lines away. You will however be needing service in the not to far future. Turning the screens down should help if the resistors check out. Let me know if you need anything further.
