Replaced digitizer now black screen only

If the LCD was working before replacement, the most likely suspect is a loose cable connection. It is also easy to crimp those tiny flat cables, or to break the locking mechanism so the cable can work its way loose. Sounds like you booted to a black screen after repair, so I would walk back through it and double check every connection, then look at all cables closely in bright light and with a magnifying glass, to be sure nothing sustained damage (twist, crimp, etc.). Remember to check the power cable to the LCD, as well. No power, no backlight, no video.

Detached black wire from heating element

You pulled the wire out of the terminal. You need a crimp tool and a terminal of the proper size to crimp the wire back into a terminal. Not hard to do if you have the proper equipment.

Do not solder a wire to a crimp terminal!

Replace power cord on DR-968 infrared heater.

On most appliances you can swap a cord from any other appliance that you are throwing out. Open up the unit and disconnect the wires (either from crimp style marrettes or crimp push on or crimps with the eyelette) On the housing look for the nylon connector. Pinch this with a pair of pliers and pull out. Putting them back in is tougher but acheivable if you hav patience.

Tail light wires

I just solved my identical problem on a 2003 750 ACE. The four way connection in back of the license plate housing was pushed inside the back of the housing with the left turn signal wire crimped a little between the housing and the fender (probably at the factory)., It wasn't crimped enough to break the wire, but just enough to apparently short out the circuit. The clear vinyl cover was melted just a little bit where the wire was crimped but it didn't look like there was enough damage to cause a short. I stripped the clear vinyl cover off, taped it with electrical tape, and made sure that all of the wires were pushed inside the back of the housing. Everything works, plus the 15 amp fuse doesn't blow anymore. Hope this helps.

(1999 grand cherokee laredo 4.0 6 cil) one of the wires that connect to the reverse light switch on the tranny is disconnected and their is minor corrosion. Can you tell me if I need to solder the wire...

Best repair would be to clean the wire and solder it. use shrink tubing on the connection, then wrap with tape. If you were to use a crimp connector, it would work for a short time and then fail because water and road dirt would quickly cause it to corrode.

Diagram wires on pionner.... some body know what is the wire orange with white on the pionner DEH-P4900ib??

In car audio wiring the orange/white wire is for illumination, connect it to your lighting switch it is to auto dim the display lights when you turn on your dash lights at night otherwise the pioneer display lights can be annoyingly bright at night. You don't have to hook it up if you don't want to, but don't forget to terminte the end of the orange/white wire with a crimp cap or black electric tape wrapped around the end well, I would recommend a crimp cap or similar. Good luck !

License Plate light and tail lights on trunk led not working.

I had the same problem on a 2008 Civic. It turns out it was a poor wiring harness design. The harness was being pinched as the trunk lid opens and closes. In the wire bundle, there is a crimp connector where 3 wires connects to 1 wire. The 1 wire in the crimp came loose. I reconnected everything with a new crimp connector, taped up the wire loom, and everything worked once again.

Replaced rear stop light yesterday and now have a continuous drain on the battery. There's also a message on the radio LCD indicating an "error". Any suggestions?

Try taking the stop light back out and check the wiring to see if you might have crimped a wire putting it back, since thats when the trouble started.

Wire to heating element burns in two at connection on element. Crimping on a new lug lasts for a few days and then burns again.

Did it just start burning out on its own, or have you recently changed the element or the wire to the element?

It sounds like the crimp isn't nearly heavy enough for the wire. If the wire isn't burned, and the element is the right one, then either the wire is not a heavy enough guage or the crimp is too light weight for that connection.

Dryers are 240 volts and there's a lot of amps going through that connector. If it is not the same as the original, buy a heavy duty crimp ring from an electrical supply house for that guage of wire or at a Home Depot or Lowes.

Let us know if that's not the case.
