Make sure you are using the recommended card by Olympus.
Try moving all existing files to a computer.
then reformat the card on the camera.
the camera will most likely be asking you if you want to reformat.
Reformatting the card will allow the camera to read the files from there on.
If repair is needed try: http://www.teleplancamerarepair.com/manufacturer/olympus.asp

I have ultra flash compact with some film on it and i want to transfer it onto my pc but it doesnt seem to be happening

Ummm... You can't transfer film directly to any computer. The information on film is stored chemically and not electronically.

If you meant to say that your digital camera has images on it and you're having problems then perhaps we can help, but you'll need to state the make and model of your digital camera and the computer operating system. Basically though, most such problems are bypassed simply by removing the memory card from the camera and inserting it into an external card reader attached to your computer.

What does CF full mean?

It means your memory card or Compact Flash Card is full. You need to delete some files.

Memory cards are locked but the card is not locked

It's unusual that an A95 would report "card locked" as it uses a compact flash card which is incapable of being locked. Please verify the model of your camera, and the card that it uses.
In the mean time, I'll assume that actually own a different camera that uses SD cards. If so, please see this link for troubleshooting tips for SD card locked problems.
But if you indeed own an A95 with compact flash, the problem may possibly be caused by bent flash card pins inside the camera card slot (take a look inside using a flashlight). If bent pins are found, then see this link for a possible home fix.

The R1 uses both Memory stick and Compact Flash... is it possible that you have a memory stick installed and the switch set to compact flash"
the switch is on the lower right side on the back of the camera. it has two positions Compact flash is "CF" and memory stick is a little memory stick logo.

Olympus E10 pins bent on compact flash slot

That is correct. The camera should default and detect that a smartmedia card is now inserted to the camera and write the images to that card. As I stated earlier, the cards are independent of each other.

Compact flash disk

Yes they can and do go bad on occasion. But before throwing it out, attempt to format it in your camera. Find the menu selection that allows you to do a "full" or "low level" format, NOT a "quick" format. If the card still misbehaves, then it's time to retire that card.

Compact flash card 4 GB

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that you have never tried a 4GB card in this camera before.

After looking at the manual, this camera, a 2001 product, would seem to be from a time when 1GB cards were still off in the future, and 4GB cards were not even conceivable.

So that you know, the manual refers to a 160MB card as the highest option available at the time, but I have to think that 64MB was considered a large card back then.

The link for the manual is: http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/CP775man.pdf

The page I'm referring to is page 154 (which is actually page 168 of the pdf document).

I suggest you contact Nikon and ask for an update to the compatible flash cards for this camera and find a 256MB or 512MB that someone has lying around.
