How do you add freon to haier window unit air conditioner

Window units do not come with service ports. You can buy them at local parts houses, but unless you have the freon, not gonna do you any good. Window ac use either r22 our 410a, and that cannot be bout without being certified.

Cant find refrigerant weigh in diagram. I don't know how much to add

On your name plate of A/C unit it will say the unit is factory charged with so many ounces of refrigerant. It will say the weight in ounces depending on the length of your line set you may or may not have to add freon. usually if your line set is longer than 20 ft you will have to add freon. The best way to charge an A/c is to wait for a hot day and charge the unit until it sweats back on your suction line the big insulated line. when the line sweats back to the compressor stop charging unit you will be fine. If this helps please rate me and give me a testimonial.

How do you replace the compressor? Is there an online mannual? 2003

Physically changing the compressor is easy. Just two freon lines, a belt, one clutch wire, and a few bolts.
But first you need to capture the old freon, which needs a vacuum pump and tank.
It is technically illegal to just vent it, and it is dangerous because of the pressure and cold. (wear eye protection and gloves)
You also need to add the right amount of the right type of oil, depending on the type of freon (a 2003 should be R134a).
But instructions should come with the new compressor.
Then you need to add the correct amount of freon.
If you saved it, then you just put that back in.
Otherwise the instructions should tell you how much to add.

My attic Goodman Air Conditioning unit is leaking down through the ceiling drywall. What are some of the possible problems and how do I fix them?

Ours did that. It was low on freon causing ice to form on the unit in the attic. The ice would melt causing the leaking down the drywall. We had a hvac rep. add freon. Cost will depend on how much is needed - we spent about $100. Afterward, we touched the spot on the wall up with Kilz & matched up with leftover paint in the shed. Good as new!

Air Conditioning

#1 you will need r134a freon. #2 the low side service port is located right at the firewall where tha line goes to the evaporator. #3 if wou bought a can of 134a freon with a hose that will hook to it, it will work. all service fittings for 134a freon are the same even though the high side and the low side will always differ
