SOURCE: reversing valve installed backwards

You should be able to move the reversing valve wire from O terminal, (the changeover relay), on the thermostat to B terminal. I deal mostly with York
which O on the t'stat is normally open and B is normally closed.

SOURCE: Replacing a Rheem Heat Pump

The difference is that the reversing valve is energized it heat mode for one brand and energized in the cooling mode for the other brand. An "O" on the circuit board indicates energized in cooling and a "B" on the circuit board indicates energized in heating.

Got any info on Goodman ebtdr 1005-171?

Mainly...either the control board is good and controls the fan correctly OR it is bad and does not. It is not really a very expensive component at all. There is no sanctioned field repair to the circuit board at all.

Goodman furnace fan runs all the time

Hello, this can be caused by a bad relay on the integrated control board or a short in the low voltage wiring. Easy way to check is unhook the green wire from the G terminal on the control board, if it stops there is a short in tje wiring, if it does not stop the control board must be replaced due to a bad relay.

Fan and condensor are on but no air volume is coming out.

If air volume inside is dropping could be icing up or jsut a bad fan motor. Check to see if your indoor coil is clean. You have a goodman unit and they have a time delay relay for fan control. They go out quite often. If problem continues call aservice tech for free estimate. There is only so far you can go without knowledge of he system. russ

I have a goodman ac 1342h21 I was told a relay was bad where are they located and how hard are they to replace

On a Goodman the inside unit has a fan relay which is relay time delay sequencer. You have to have the right one or they do not work. They are located on the inside unit just as you take off the door close to the front. Now if you havea fan board that is different. You will need a service tech to replace that because you cant get anyone to sell you the board. The sequencer is easy to change but you need to get the right one. Go by the Model number. Go to parts house that sells A/C parts. Tell then you have a Goodman and need fan relay . You single pole double throw fan relay. You can call a service tech and ask for free estimate up front. Rus

Goodman Furnace

Could be that the fan on you new furnace is more powerful than your old one and is forcefully blowing the cold duct air out causing a temporary chill or it could be that you need to adjust the fan delay.
I'm not familar with this unit so I wouldn't have aclue on how to do this or even if you can.

Indoor unit runs continously changed thermostat unit still runs continuously heat does not come on

fan relay or fan time delay board is bad track wires from fan motor back to relay tap it gently and if motor goes off relay was stuck on. replace relay wire for wire , usually a 90-340 universal relay will work but you need to know how to wire it, maybe best to get exact repl and change wire for wire.
