Turn off the unit via the standby button on the remote and pick "passive standby". Next time you turn it on the epg will be back. The other option is to turn off the unit via the power switch at the rear of the unit.

hello, this sounds more like a cable or satelite problem. hame you tried reseting your cable or sat box? usually when you reset the box it will download the guide again...
