I think it is due to hardware problem so i think it will not safe to repair the monitor by yourself because inside that monitor high voltage is present so better take it to servicing shop

My monitor will not stay on and goes black after a few seconds when I reboot it. I'll turn the monitor on and it stays on only for a few seconds but I can see all of my programs for those few seconds.

maryfoldesi1, Your monitor power supply is going into shutdown mode becauce it has detected a fault within the unit. A technician will need to evaluate it. Before doing anything visit YOUTUBE to view vid clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" Also read more of my responses to other owners that have BLACK SCREEN problems and find out all your options you have open to you. You did not tell us if you can still see the Win-desktop AFTER it goes BLACK. Is it also BLANK or can you still see a faint image on lcd panel if holding a bright flashlight 1 inch from screen? lmistyrel on aim.com 12fixlouie on fixya

Monitors comes on for a few seconds then goes black. the only way is to turn it on and off but still only stays on for a couple for seconds

I think the power board might be going bad in there. Hook up a different good working monitor to the computer and see what happenss.

If the monitor still turns off after a few seconds then you know its the video card acting up. If the monitor stays on then you know its the original monitor that is bad for sure.

Monitor wont stay on- blue light is on. but screen keeps going blank.

Have you tried the monitor on another computer? If so, and it works, the issue is with your graphics settings on your computer. LCD and plasma based monitors often come with a protection circuit that disables the monitor if the synch or refresh rate are beyond it's capabilities. this is to protect your monitor from damage.

Do not exceed your monitor's max resolution.
Resolution is determined the following way:

Width x Height @ Refresh Rate
For your model:
  • Max Resolution 1440 x 900 @ 75Hz
More detailed information about your monitor can be found HERE. If your monitor is still under warranty, and you find it to be faulty, you may be able to send it to the manufacturer for repairs.

The picture disapears, though the monitors stays on - every few seconds

Check the cable connections on the back of the monitor and the PC it sounds like the connection isn't made properly make sure they are tight.
