Hi,

Inside the computer BIOS there is a serial number, which has includes a code for the manufacturer. So, what a hardware identification utility does is to read the BIOS serial number and to decipher it for you.

Also common place to put serial and model numbers is on the side of the expansion card sockets (the white strips on the left). You will probably have to remove the motherboard to read them.

Let me know for any clarifications.

My Dedicated Video Memory Is 64MB. How to i increase dedicated video memory.I Use gigabyte Motherboard

Hello here is the gigabyte homepage:

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/support-downloads.aspx

The manual can be found by, selecting the mainboard number.

The video memory can be changed in the bios settings, but can probably only be decreased to a lower setting.

I guess the 64 mb, is the max memory setting.

The solution is to add a better graphic card, on the mainboard for better performance.

A graphic card can be bought in a computer shop, or online.

You just have to know, what socket the mainboard has.

There is 2 different ones: AGP or PCI-E slot

Good luck

Trouble with install second video card HD 5450 to emachines t6532

Unclear of your statement. (More like run-on sentence)

Problem heading statement reads,
"trouble with install second video card HD5450 TO eMachines T6532"

Need clarification

The eMachines T6532 Desktop PC uses an MSI MS-7207 motherboard.
Also known as the MSI K8NGM2-L,

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K8NGM2-FID--IL--L.html

(Click on photo for a better image)

Has one long white PCI Express x16 slot. (Expansion Slot)
Only uses one graphics card at a time, will Not use two.

[Graphics card / Video card. Same/same]

Therefore I surmise you are not referring to adding a Second graphics card, but are referring to;

A) This is the second time you have added a graphics card.

Or,

B) This is the second ATI Radeon HD5450 graphics card.
Had one before. Removed it, and are using a new one.

Or,

C) This is the second time you have added a graphics card.
It is not an ATI Radeon HD5450 like the old one is.

Know this;
1) You can ONLY use the OnBoard (Integrated) graphics,
OR the graphics card.
You CANNOT use both.

When using a graphics card the monitor is plugged into it.
You cannot plug into the onboard graphics of the motherboard, with it installed in the computer.

Said differently;
With the graphics card physically installed in the computer, you cannot just unplug the monitor from the graphics card; and plug it into the OnBoard graphics of the motherboard.

[Also; Computer on, you CANNOT unplug a monitor, and plug it back in.
This = NO ]

2) Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

The device is the graphics card.
The version of Windows operating system was not stated.

Did you install the software from the Installation Disk? (CD/DVD)
Has the drivers on it, and the user interface software.
User interface software for an ATI graphics card, is Catalyst Control Center.

(Just to note; I'm using a Powercolor Radeon HD5450 graphics card, right now.
I'm using dual monitors.

HP 2009M - 20 inch widescreen LCD monitor, and an RCA L26HD31 HDTV as the main monitor. (26 inch HDTV)
They work GREAT! ]

(It is an ATI Radeon HD5450 graphics card just like yours, IF yours has 1GB of graphics memory.

Doesn't matter what graphics card manufacturer, makes that HD5450, it is still an ATI (AMD) design.

Powercolor, VisionTek, Sapphire, Diamond Multimedia, Mickey Mouse, or Goofy. It is still an ATI graphics card )

The ATI Radeon HD5450 graphics card, has to have a MINIMUM power requirement of 350 Watts.
Does your power supply have 350 Watts or more?

If it is the original power supply, the answer is NO.

Back then power supply manufacturers were 'fudging' the true maximum rated wattage.
Why?

Sold more power supplies.

Power supply rated at 250 Watts?
Nope.
More like 60 to 70 percent of that.

Divide 250 by 10.
= 25.
Take that times 6. = 150 Watts (60 percent)
Times 7 = 175 Watts (70 percent)

Would like your opening statements clarified.
Post back in a Comment.

joecoolvette

I bought Foxconn 755A01-6EKRS Motherboard for my HP pc replacement. i install my AGP VsionTek x1300 graphic card and turn it on and nothing show up on screen...then i put the graphic card back to my old HP...

Your new Foxconn motherboard Primary Graphics Adapter settings in set to onboard vga that is why there is no display in your monitor. Do not install yet your agp video card. Use first the onboard vga of the motherboard.
Power up your computer and go to the BIOS settings. Locate in bios about the Primary Graphics Adapter settings and then select AGP. Save changes and the exit. Turn off your computer and now install the agp video card.

What memory stick and graphic cards to get

Your motherboard has 3 PCI slots. Any card you install can only be a regular PCI card.

The RAM in your motherboard has to be DDR (333 or 400) 184 pin DIMM's.

Here is a link for your motherboard manual:

Asus P5P800-MX Manual

Layout pic is on page 1-7. Info on your memory is on page 1-15.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have installed windows xp service pack 3 but i m not getting the graphics driver

The graphic drivers are usually not integrated on windows XP default drivers, as they only list drivers for few adapters.

After installing XP you have to download video drivers from the Internet.

If the computer is a laptop, or a brand desktop, then you can download the driver from manufacturer website (eg Acer, Sony , HP etc.).

If the computer is assembled, on no brand, you will need to know the motherboard, or the graphic adapter number, or to install a new video card with disk provided.

Driver problems, I believe?

use the same drivers. Click on the link below and on the page that loads look for the VGA column. Go down to the second driver listed (K7VMM), download and install on your PC. Your game probably tried to mess with your video driver and messed it up thus the default to the Windows default driver. I?m guessing you probably downloaded and installed the manufacturer?s video chipset driver on your motherboard. The rule of thumb is to get the drivers for a built-in device from the motherboard manufacturer unless they specifically state otherwise. Download page: http://www.ecsusa.com/downloads/drivers_k7v.html Try this one and let us know if you have any other questions. As always please don?t forget to rate this posting.
