Sewing machine will not stitch. The thread goes into the material but does not make a stitch. I've changed the needle, cleaned the bobbin, rethread the bobbin and the top thread.??????????????

Is this the first time you have used the machine? If so you need to bring up the bobbin thread by hand before stitching. Only when both bobbin and top threads are up through the needle plate nad pulled towards the back of machine, will the machine form a stitch.

I can't get the thread tension right. The bobbin thread comes up through the top and makes bumps. The underneath is loopy and uneven. It's brand new, right out of the box!

Try this..
1) set your tension @ 4
2) rethread your machine up to the needle
3) lower presser foot
4)pull thread . If it pulls hard, machine is threaded right. If it pulls easily, it's not.

Rule of thumb:: Loops on the top, problem is on the bottom.
Loops on the bottom, problem is on the top.
Hope this helps.

LED shows 5P or SP

take the bobbin winder post (the silver metal post on the top to the right next to the spool of thread and push it to the left toward the spool of thread. The SP means it is in Spool mode.

Stitch pattern not proper

be sure that the thread is routed properly. Then check on the bobbin holder, it may be defective.
