Try to remove all sheets of paper. Then unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Leave the other end of the power cord attached to the power outlet in the wall. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging back the power adapter in the printer. When the printer's ready, load some papers and check if it's working fine now. Keep me posted by leaving a comment. Thanks.

How about taking out both the cartridges from the printer. Then close the cover. Unplug the power adapter. Plug it back after 30 seconds. When printer's ready, reload the cartridges.

Lexmark x2600 won't recognize new print cartridge

It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer...... Blinking Stopped...........Issue Resolved....... Still Blinking: Remove both the Cartridges take a Paper Towel turn the catridges direction so that u can see a Copper plate with small boxes on it....... Just wipe it twice or thrice with the Paper Towel.......... Now insert it and Power on the Printer and see whether the Lights are still blinking if it is still blinking...... Lexmark x2600 i have ink and ervything my paper isnt jammed but everytime i try to print the button next to the X button keeps blinking orange

The flashing light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.

2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.

3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.

8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

10. Load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I have a Lexmark x2600 printer and when I stated printing many pieces went through and then jammed and won't move in either direction, the paper is really jammed in and I don't see any way to get...

Unplug the printer from the power source to turn it off. Open the printer cover to access the cartridge area. If you see the paper jam, slowly and carefully pull the paper out of the printer. Avoid tearing the paper or avoid leaving torn pieces in the printer. This will cause future paper jams in the printer.

When all is clear, re-plug the printer into the power source. Load some paper and try to print again.
Tips: Use only paper that is in good condition. Fan the paper before loading into the feeder to prevent sticking together. Use the specified media type and sizes for your model. Don't overload the feeder.

Lexmark x2600 printer

Pull the tray out at the bottom of the printer. This is causing the printer to think it has a paper jam. It is simply the paper feed button.
