Question about Lexmark Z715 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Uncompleted printing job

Machine says "cartridge stalled." Have tried to remedy, but no results. Have already tried to uninstall and reinstall, but still no results. Prints 3/4 of first page, then stops.

Have unplugged all cords, plus black box on reverse of printer, waited several minutes, and then replugged. No results. Same message "cartridge stalled."

I have the same problem. I found the mylar strip that goes behind the print head had broken on one end. I assume this is some sort of limit strip. I have not been able to find any info on purchasing a new strip. Can anyone help?

I have the same problem. I found a mylar strip that goes across the printer behind the print cartridge had broken. I assume this mylar strip is what limits the head from hitting against the sides of the printer. I have not been able to find where I can purchase a new strip. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My Lexmark Z715 printer has always worked fine until this morning. I turned it on and the light blinked so I turned it off and then on again and the cartridge slamed one side of the pinter and then slamed the other side. I tried it several times and always the same. It would not stop in the middle so I could check it out. Does it need replacing?

Print job disappearing and not printing

1. Check for a paper jam. Paper jams occur when one or more sheets of paper become stuck in the feeding or printing mechanism. Gently remove any jammed paper and reset the printer.
2. Check ink levels. Those ink cartridges run out fast. If your printer looks like it is printing but nothing comes out on the page, you might be out of ink. Try replacing the cartridge and printing again.
3. Check for a clogged print head. If you know you have ink, the print head might be clogged. Navigate to "Control Panel > Printer > Right Click > Properties > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges" to attempt to clean the print head.
4. Reinstall printer drivers and software. If none of the above helps, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer and software to correct possible software bugs, errors or conflicts.

5. Check printer drivers. Navigate to "Control Panel > Printers > Right Click > Properties > Update Driver" to check for a new driver for your printer. You can also find drivers and software on the Canon Support site (see Resources).
6. Resolve the Waste Ink Error. Press menu on the printer and press scan/copy to enter service more. Press the right arrow to access "NVRAM." Set ABS-M level to 0. Set ABS-P level to 0. Press "Stop" to exit.
7. Resolve Wrong Cartridge Message. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Remove the cartridges and the print head. Clean the print head in lukewarm water. Set it aside to dry. Clean the contacts gently with an eraser and wipe with a tissue. Reinstall the print head and reinsert the cartridges. Run a cartridge alignment.
8. Resolve E0D02 error. Clean the cartridges and the sender strip. The sender strip is behind the rubber drive belt behind the main hatch. It runs horizontally across the machine. Wipe it gently with a lint free cloth.

Have an MD 1300. printer begins then stops before actually doing the job. Get message: "cartridge change error - cannot complete print job." I have tried putting in a new cartridge but same...

What color are the cartridges that you are putting in? Are they blue or are they greyish in color? If you are trying to print on laser or other such paper, you need to be using the greyish cartridges. Also make sure that the cartridges that you put in have plenty of ribbon in them and that you've put them in facing the correct direction, you should be able to see the color names when you open the printer. If you don't, you've installed them facing the wrong way. Also make sure that you have all the correct colors installed for the print job. Unless you're printing strictly in black and white, you'd be surprised at what colors are needed to make a color, unless you're using pure Cyan, Magenta or Yellow. Any colors other than those will need to use a combo of those colors to reproduce colors properly. I hope this helps. If not, write back and say what steps you've followed to try to remedy the error.

Our X6150 doesn't want to COMPLETE a print or copy job. The Cartridge Stall message appears, even though the ink cartridges and ribbon seem to be working. Suggestions? DJA

Nice job on checking the cartridges and "ribbon". This article Printer Cartridge Stalls or Is Blocked might give you some more troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the problem. If you've already gone through these steps, I would suggest you contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. When calling support, you will be asked for the model type and the serial number. Thanks.

Printer Prints nothing as it moves.

print a test print from the printer first without sending the command form the pc, if this works, that rule out the printer problem. then check the printer's history and see if you don't have uncompleted work on the status. if you have delete and resend. if you don't, uninstall and reinstall the printer. good luck

its very possible the new cartridge is faulty. I would suggest getting another one. Some new cartridges are acutually refurbished and just refilled and sold. Eventually they stop working correctly.

Install yellow cartridge when already installed on display

I would try removing all cartridges, turn of the printer, turn it back on and wait for the error messages, then reinstall the cartridges.

Hp printer 5420 photosmart

sadone:
I assume all hardware connections are fine, and any lose cable connections are already checked then......

1)Send a test page to the printer Open up the print jobs, and try deleting all jobs (click on the printer from printer and faxes under control panel, delete all print jobs, Still in this window click printer and uncheck the print offline, does this help?) if not then

2)Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver and then try printing a test page.

3)Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software and driver and then try printing a test page.

If nothing works then:
-Uninstall all printer software, driver unplug and reseat an original hp cartridge and go this link install software and driver and follow instructions on how to install the drivers, at the end click the check button to see if driver is fine. Now you should be able to print.
