Question about Optoma RD65 65" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a 6 year old OptomaTV model number RD 65. It has performed very well. However, it recently developed a 6 inch shadow in the picture on the right hand side. The local technician said that the only way to repair the micro processor is to replace the entire micrprocessor unit which seems strange. The cost of the part was apporx $1700!!
Have you had any experience with this type of problem with this TV and is it possible to fix it without incurring this major cost--which makes it cost prohibitive. thx ETN
OK , the tech was yanking your leg . second its the light tunnel has collasped , if parts are available maybe , other wise L/E ( light engine).
