If u r using vista or windows 7 then type 'network & sharing centre' in the search bar which u get after clicking on the 'start' button on the bottom left hand side corner-->go to the 'network & sharing center'-->click on 'manage wireless networks' on the right hand side column-->u will c the name of one or more than one networks listed over there-->remove all the networks-->u will get the option to remove by clicking on the network name-->after removing all the networks, close the page-->again click on 'start' option & click on the 'connect to' option on the right hand side column-->ur notebook will detect all the network signals & will show the name of all the networks present at ur place-->select the network to which u want to connect & click on the 'connect' option-->it might ask for a password only if the network is password protected-->enter the password & u will go online....
try this, there are chances that it might resolve ur issue & if it does then let me know by rating this solution.....
