Hi,
I'm afraid, it sounds bigger problem of light engine that has 3 lcds and filters that seems defective and causing green blob in center and blue moon at bottom of picture/ projector output image.
Bulb/ Lamp in projector is light source only, that white bright light goes into light engine and comes out from final lens to project image on inbuilt lcds in light engine.
Take projector in to local tv repair shop for visual check and replace light engine but cost of repair would be high so new projector is also better option instead of repair LVP-SL6
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

Green hue from my Mitsubishi xl30u projector. Believe blue filter is shot. I have extra projector for parts. Can anyone tell me (pictures would help) what part to swap to fix this?

If you are skilled at aligning the LCD panels, go for it.
The Blue panel, nearest the light source, has been damaged by heat from an old bulb and needs replacing.

How are you wiring it up? Yellow, White Red (RCA?) or Red Green Blue? or SVideo. Also make sure your projector is switched to the appropriate input.

I own a panasonic pt-ae900e i have notice a thin uneven green transpairant line in the middle of the screen lamp time 1987 hrs

Experience:
There is three LCD (liquid crystal display) in your projector when one LCD faulty he display a line some time flickering line one or two lines. Due to other two LCD is working well so this line is looking transparent. If BLUE LCD faulty than the line color is very light green or yellow.

Second option is this that your projector lamp life is near to end and after 2000 hours projector is very dirty inside and need service.
(service of LCDs and other parts of projector is a very technical job and I don't know you can do it or not)

I was just given this t.v because friends couldn't figure out what is wrong with itl. The colors don't line up right, looks kinda blurry depending on the lighting of the program being watched. How do i fix...

According to the manual:
1) go to the "TV Main Menu"
2) Select "Screen"
3) Select Adjust Projection TV (obviously only if a projection TV).
This then allows you to adjust the TV's 3-colors. Selecting GREEN CENTERING brings up a control panel that lets you center the green projection tube on the screen. Selecting RED CONVERGENCE or BLUE CONVERGENCE lets you align the Red & Blue projector tubes. Centre the green projector tube 1st. Then adjust the red & blue until the test pattern on the TV screen appers white.
Good Luck!

Images has a blue color across the center

Wow, 3 in a row. As described on 2 other projector issues this is very similar to those others. I'll repeat the info here.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.

This sounds like the LCD panel used for the blue color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the blue panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image.

It looks like yours has just a secone of the panel dying or comming loose from it's connector.

It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

Mitsubishi XL30U Green Haze

This projector has three LCD screens followed by a prism to converge the screens and project the light. Lack of maintenance is the usual cause.
If the lamp is old, it will produce more and more UV light that will burn, usually the first colour, the blue LCD panel giving a greenish hue starting from the centre of the screen and working outwards.
If the filters are blocked, this will damage the LCD screens.
The screens are available from Mitsubishi but maybe cheaper to replace the projector as they are very expensive and fitting is a specialised job.

Yellow spot

the problem is in the light path starting with the blue input polarizer then the blue lcd hopefully its just the input polarizer. worst case you will have to replace the LCD block witch is expensive to do. the polarizer ia a speacialy tinted glass designed to help with the LCD's temp.
