If your mobile phone is lost or stolen you can inform your network provider with yours IMEI number who can then put the serial number on a shared database. This list stops this particular phone from registering on any network and will be useless for anyone even if the mobile phone’s SIM card is changed!

I want to block my cellphone bec. it has been lost.

if your phone is a postpaid plan just contact your network service provider and tell him that your phone is lost and you want to block it then they block it..But if you using a prepaid plan then there's the problem unless your phone serial and model is insured and registered to your country's telecommunications department then it can be blocked just doing the same thing call your country's telecommunications department and report the lost of your phone and asked them to block it..But if its not registered or insured the only thing for your phone not to be used by the person who got the phone is if you put a security code on your phone. Hope it will help you

How could i block my lost cell phone

Hi,
For you to block your lost cell phone you must know the IMEI number.
Now if you have lost your mobile handset or your phone has been stolen, you can contact your network provider to block your IMEI number. They might ask you to get a Police FIR copy first, do as they say and finally ask them to block your IMEI number.
Regards

Contact your network provider. Give them your IMEI number. They should be able to block your lost phone & make it unusable. The phone then becomes worthless.

I have lost my mobile- how to block it?

You need to contact your cell phone carrier (verizon, cingular ect) and tell them your phone was stolen, and give them the IMEI number. They will send a signal over the network locking the phone.

Hope this helps, thank you for stopping by Fixya! Feel free to leave a positive rating if this solution answered your question.

if you have the serial number, bring it to the telecommunication agency and have them block it. you'll have to prove it's yours though so bring supporting papers like official invoice when you purchased it. inform the service network too. good luck.
