Slow RT on loading new site or new page

Hi hope for a bit of help here, I have a high speed internet service that is running at max speed/defragged/cleaned with virus scan/deleted temp files etc and still am getting a slow response time when loading up a new page. Any suggestions. I am low on the $$$ and did not want to pay a tech to look at it. Thanks ahead of time.

Hi Jean,
sounds like you might need to add more memory to your PC. A fast Internet connection won't make a slow machine run any faster. If you right click on My Computer and choose properties, the box that comes up should tell you how much memory you currently have. If it's 512mb or less, that's a good indication that that is the problem.

My window7 computer wont load my videos

Hi there,
There are many possibly issues that can cause online videos to not load. For as start the first two pages I link below are from HP support and address online and performance issues. If your system is not an HP , just ignore or work around the portions referring to HP specific utilities like the HP Support Assistant. Instead, just be sure you have the correct and most up to date drivers for your system loaded, and then proceed.

Then these are more about browser or other issues. Hopefully something will be of help.

RT-AC66U slow download speeds

Run a test of your internet using www.speedtest.net. You should be seeing ping less than 100 ms, and your download and upload speeds will vary depending on your service. Do you have cable, isdn, dsl, or fiber? cable and fiber should give you speeds of at least 10Mb down 10 Mb up, ISDN and DSL should give you speeds around 500kbps down and 250kbps up.

How to replay the video without the video like hanging in some parts

If you have a slow internet connection, just wait for the video to finish loading before playing (press pause) or just replay it after it finished loading. If it is still hanging, your system must be very slow.

Excruciatingly slow internet on my daughter's SYNET7WID Netbook. I have 8mb internet service, a Linksys E2000 cable modem, and 5 bars of signal strength, but this is worse than dial-up! Would adding an...

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't use an SD card as system memory, you can only use one as storage space. The amount of system memory installed in that machine is only 128Mb and will no doubt struggle to load pages with a high amount of content on their websites thus making it slow to load. I am unsure if you can upgrade the system memory itself.

You can also test the speed of your internet and making sure you are getting what speed your provider says your getting by clicking on the link below and test your internet speed. This will tell you the exact speed you are getting>>>

If there is anything else please post back.

My computer is very slow uploading how do i fix this problem please

You may need to provide more details on this. But...
1). Do you mean that your computer is slow BOOTING up?
It may be that you need to Upgrade your RAM (memory) because as you add more programs applications to your computer over time, many of them load up some apps into memory on computer start-up. One way out is to type msconfig.exe (Start > Run > msconfig.exe), go to 'Start up' and uncheck the programs you can do without on start-up. But best way is to increase Memory.
2). Do you mean UPLOADING files to the internet?
This will depend on the speed of your Internet Link, and / or the speed of the server on the internet you are uploading to. Try uploading to some other destination and compare. If it is slow generally, then you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider and ask for Uplink bandwidth increase.
Hope this helped.

Slow new page internet explorer

Do a google search for "google chrome"
If that runs slow you know its the PC, if it runs fine then you know its Internet explorer.
I no longer use internet explorer because it it so slow but i remember there was a setting which would scan web-pages for phishing threats.
Im not sure if its called that or if they have changed over to the smartscreen filter.
More info on smart screen filter here:
Microsoft smart screen

There are also some helpful tips here which could improve internet explorer perfomance:

I hope this helps

My PC has slowed down significantly. Could it be

Your ISP would not slow the computer's overall speed however try emptying out your TIF folder (Temporary Internet Files) and run an overnight Defrag, that should help a bit

Internet extremely slow on one network, fine on the other

Not knowing if this relates directly as i am not from Australia but have you checked with the ISP.

The phone line providing the internet access may be damaged in some way or require calibration to reduce line noise (which can cause slow speeds).

Alternatively, have you got a usage limit that you may have reached. ISPs have the ability to throttle back your connection speed.

Thanks

Slow internet access wirelessly

You can open up devise mgr,(rt click on my computer, click properties, click devise mgr) now look down, you should see network
adapters, you should see on that says wireless, if you rt click on it
and pick update driver, then choose search internet, try this two times, if it finds a newer driver, you will need to restart your system
and hopefully it will run better, or you can see who makes the wireless hardware and go to there site and see if there is a newer driver then the one installed, before you do this, click on driver tab and look at the date of driver, just so you are not getting the same one.

Now if you have the newest driver and still have a slow speed, write down the make and model of the hardware, now go to speedtest.net and run a speed test. Now post back what the hardware is,, the speedtest results, and what OS you are using,xp,vista, and I or someone can explain how to tweak your speed. Hope your driver updates and it works out for you.

The modem is extremely slow-most downloads are far too slow

Dialup phone lines usually only transmit a minimum of 8 Baud. NetZero's high speed (5X) faster is done by caching pages you have already visited, not actially running internet but loading pages faster on your computer. Check your modem setting, 56k, 112K are normal speed setting to connect. Check your actual connection speed, 28.8 is probably all that you are getting on dialup.
