Question about Black & Decker Dewalt #D55155 2HP 4GAL Eleccompressor
I just brought a used Dewalt D55155-QS, but not realize this compressor use 220 volts. Can I convert the motor to use 115 volts?
The short answer unfortunately is no. The internal motor that drives this compressor requires 220 and will not work properly with 110. Your only option would be to replace the motor with one compatible with 110. The cost of that would approximate a major portion of a replacement unit.
Sorry about the bad news.
