We are having one sanyo plc xu 78 projector.when it began to switch it on the count down screen will displays when the count down timing is coming to 0 then its directly going to stand by mode. its not going for starting page..... what is the reason for that........pls help me

The DLP chip is failing. If it is still under warranty, contact the warranty section on Sanyo's web page.

hi,
check the video inputs. if there is no video input then the projector will goes off after count down.
also check that is the lamp replace light lights up or not. if its lights then you have to change the lamp and then reset the lamp hour.

on my XU 55 the trick to read the lamp hours is to press and hold down the power button in about 20 seconds when the projector is turned on. there will come a window in the upper left corner that tells about total hours and lamp hours. the window will disappear quite fast, so one might need to do it twice.

Most laptops have a Function (Fn) key in an alternate color (blue maybe) from the usual key text color (white usually).

By pressing this key, along with another key that has text of the same (blue) color, perhaps labelled with "LCD/CRT" or a pic of a monitor, or of 2 squares - one single square and one double "square in square", you can toggle between the modes of:
1. Laptop display only,
2. external display only, or
3. Both displays.

Be sure to check your laptop model manual for specific details to make sure this is possible.

It might be that you are using the port for this function.

I suspect that you are using the one on the side of the unit - instead of the smaller usb port at the back - which is actually the one that should be used for this function.

The USB port on the side is made for a flashdrive.

Ok kumar i did some research on your problem.

Im not real savvy with projectors, but im going to try and lead you into the right direction. Now when you connect your projector to your computer, you need to go to your input settings on your projector and put them on "auto". In your product manual it says the computer should automatically detect the projector. Now if the projector isnt displaying a proper screen then you need to to go into the manual settings and adjust the settings.

This is the manual for your projector. Scroll down to the table of contents and click on the bold letters COMPUTER INPUT click that and read a little about the way your computer connects to the projector. I hope this helps, please let me know an update. thnx
